Not enough description. I need more information yo…

  • Just need to get the post up first hey …
anyone with a deal to post feels the same :)

FYI : 2 to 3 weeks shipping time going by website

  • I really hope Uniquemobile or some beter grey import site matches it. This is a great price.

    • Are they going to keep making these after the S4 is released for sale?

      • +3

Give me a sec. I'll go get my crystal ball out

  • i bought it,and it arrived within a week. maybe just my luck

    • i got some windows phones from them and just over a week so the 2-3 weeks is just a guideline if you ask me they seem to get it to you pretty quick.

  • +3

Amazing price ! I've seen people spend nearly $600 for this…, man has prices crashed !

    • Patience is a virtue
Should we hold lil bit longer?

    • That was 8 months ago so $200(drop) for 8 months or $25 per month.
Does that seem ok, usage wise ?

  • goddamnit i only just fired off a claim to 28degreesmastercard for price protection

anyone know if they allow multiple submissions? i havent even heard back from them for confirmation

    • +1

One shot these days AFAIK. I think with Wizard you could multiple claim if the price dropped over a certain amount.

    • Can you claim 28degreesmastercard price protection for Kogan? I didn't think it was an Australian transaction?

      • +1

        worth a try

even if there is no GST, i still bought it from an Australian website for australian customers

kogan.com.au is an australian website, which requires an australian ABN.

i will fight them to the supreme court for my $60

        • Make sure you claim another $60 for taxi fares :)

  • +1

why dont they drop the price of the S2 also, they will both be the same price soon!

  • +2

Kogan shipping is fast, Im still waiting on a Refund from Techoni after they sent me some trashy Korean version of this phone, once I get that back im ordering this.
People Bag kogan but they are miles better than all these other shoddy sites..

Warning Never buy from Techoni.com.au they are useless! Ordered my phone on 8th of Feb and did not arrive till 11th of March! and then waste a few weeks whilst they decided my return and Restocking fee of 95 dollars

    • How can they charge you a fee if they sent you a wrong phone?

      • +1

They sent me the Korean variant which roms once set to english only half the phone is in English, I have contacted the ACCC but the company thinks it is fine as they have said it was an import model… They have since updated the product listing to display the E210K Correct full product code was SHV-E210K , Oh may I also add the box was open and phone had a screen protector applied, there was no start up setup and Phone was in chinese(they stand behind that they open the boxes to change the phones language Which is utter bullshit)

  • +1

I don't see how it is humanely possible to resist an S3 at this price.

    • I'm in once it hits 350 delivered !

      • +2

Get 28 Degrees Card with Shoppers Protection and claim back when it falls below that within 6 months

        • Made me look at the card and "shoppers protection"

"If you buy something on your card in Australia and it’s reduced in price in the same store (or one at another location) anytime in the first 6 months after you buy it, we’ll pay the price difference back on your card.

It costs to be covered, but it doesn’t cost a fortune.

Shopper’s Protection insurance premiums are calculated each month at 0.5% of the monthly closing account balance of your 28 Degrees MasterCard. (For example, if your closing balance is $2,000, your Shopper’s Protection insurance premium for that month will be $10.)"

        • +1

any person who likes to save money would pay back all money spent on the card each month and avoid all fees and intrest rate charges.

        • +1

I believe closing balance is the same as the statement balance, i.e the balance on your statement at the end of the billing period. So just paying off your card on time, while avoiding interest, would not exempt you from this premium. To do this you'd have to pay off any debits before your statement period ends, which would be pretty hard for payments made in the last couple days of your statement period.

It's potentially worth it if you buy lots of electronics are willing to put in the time and effort of monitoring market movements after a purchase, in addition to paying off all credit card purchases as soon as they occur. I can't be bothered.

        • its quite simple really, I have my direct debit set up and payments are made in full when every billing statement is due.
Having a 28' MC cost me zero dollars per year.

        • You can set direct debit to debit as soon as a payment is made?

        • Shopper’s Protection is calculated on the monthly closing account balance of the account. (For example, if the closing balance is $0, the Shopper’s Protection insurance premium for that month will be $0)

        • +1

The closing balance is just the balance outstanding on the statement? So you have to pay it off before the statement is generated (and well before the credit will incur any interest)?

        • its all the same and quite simple, you make one payment around the same time every month to avoid any fees or intrest charges.

    • onebutters 3 hours 3 min ago new
I don't see how it is humanely possible to resist an S3 at this price.

It probably won't matter even if you decide not to be nice to them.

  • FYI the sony xperia Z $579 lol , this is going wild

    • would this be the cheapest price for the xperia z?

  • hopefully $350 by the time S4 is officially up for grabs :)

  • I think CitiWide is cheaper (for White at least - that's my favorite :)

    • -4

do not deal with CitiWide, those idiots almost scammed me of my 300 dollars, they are dirty Chinese business people (no racism intended)

  • +2

The Samsung Galaxy S3 4G (i9305) is $409 + $19 delivery = $428 total so it seems like we got a price war going on here with uniquemobiles.

    • +1

If the 4G version drops to $400 that would be very tempting as the 2Gb future proofs it a little

      • +1

only a matter of time now.

      • True but it is likely that by the time 4g coverage expands to 70-80% coverage levels, you will have a new phone. Otherwise you can just chill in the CBD all day ;)

  • the only thing stopping me is the delivery time. by the time it is delivered it could of gone down by 20-30 dollars. delivery time of 3-4 weeks is shocking

    • They usually deliver with 10 days and they have a 14 day price guarantee.

  • -5

    369.00 now in kogan

    • yeah the price is $369 but you have to pay extra for shipping ($388)

      • Oh!

        A cheaper price that's not cheaper….. :)

  • +1

kogan makes the LTE S3 under 400Delivered or Note2 under 500Delivered…I am awaiting…

  • Better not get cheaper.mine hasn't even shipped from shoppingsquare………..

  • +1

Bought one from Kogan, took 8 days delivery including
    Weekends. Not bad imo

  • Bought one

  • Which colour is better? Blue or the black?

    • +10

      Black is faster

      • +2

There's a rumour that black is bigger, but I think that's just a phallusy! ;)

  • bad news!!! australian version of gs4 wil be the snapdragon 600 quad core not the EIGHT CORE! seems like the eight core is for 3g only while the snapdragon 600 for lte..
    http://www.cnet.com.au/samsung-confirms-snapdragon-cpu-for-g…

    • thats actually good news for this deal, makes it totally worth getting s3 3g OR 4g

    • I'm sure bogan will have unlocked, unbranded, octa core s4s for sale when they are released… Balls to bloated carrier locked handicapped phones which are always the last to get updates.

      • no point if its the 3g octa core

    • Most OzBargainers would be buying the international version anyway.

    • Is there any truth to the significantly increased battery drain if it's used 4G in Australia? (Which is the reason gave for not releasing the 8 core)

If it's false, I'll be ordering the international version too.

  • is it just me or it dropped from 388 to 369 incl. delivery?

    • +1

      $369.00 + Delivery

Shipping is usually $19 with Kogan…you do the math! ;)

    • Title is fine. 388 delivered is different from 388 + delivery.

Price is so tempting. Will see if the price can b lower.

  • +3

    $365 + $19 at uniquemobiles now for blue http://www.uniquemobiles.com.au/mobile-phones/samsung-galaxy…

    • is there a code for this one? because it displays as 389 for me??

      • Yeah, it's showing as $389 for me too.

  • Is this a time limited sale or the "regular price"?

  • Part of me so wants one of these right now

  • I got Officeworks to pricematch the phone yesterday and got the blue one for $379. Officeworks only has the blue phone though.

    • How did you get them to price match? Show them the kogan site on your phone? Did they put up a fight? You got a receipt you could maybe share please?

  • Hi Ashley, Kogan's price yesterday and a week ago was $379+$19 for delivery. I just casually asked officeworks because I just happen to be there and saw that they were selling this phone that my friend wanted. So I was quite surprised when I asked the staff at officeworks about price match with kogan and he said it was fine. He then asked me to look up the kogan price on their computer to verify and he got his manager to come down and key in the price change. Phone is with my friend now who is a very happy person because she didn't want to wait weeks from kogan to get it. Will see if I can get a picture up. Also, it is their last 1 in stock so I don't know whether it was just a special deal for me? But try asking officeworks :)

    • So you got an Aus stock S3 for $388!

    • Ok, cool, I'm heading out now, so will stop for a look.
      Thanks for the reply.

    • +2

alas i checked with the officeworks in my area, they told me upfront that they do not pricematch sites like Kogan. maybe the guys at your branch didn't know better!

      • there is nothing in the terms and conditions of officeworks which says not to price match stores like Kogan.

I went to my local store and the guy there refused straight away. went to another officeworks, after confirming the price match and got the phone. on the way back called my local store and talked to.the same guy and pointed out his folly. hopefully, next time can get a price match at my local store.

    • Did they match and beat the price by 5%?

  • +3

http://instagram.com/p/X4AwVCKbjk/ I don't know how else to share the receipt with you all so here you go. Hope that will help someone get a deal :)

    • Well played indeed! :)

  • got a price match at officeworks. 368.4 for Australian stock.

    • can you please upload a copy of your receipt? thanx!

    • Arghhhh! You beat me by 20cents… so not fair.. ;-)

  • +1

Clarence street Officeworks is not price matching.

    • +1

Tried to pricematch King Street Melbourne , they were going to do it and some chick said they cant as they as kogan is a parrallel importer…. Sigh

      • try price matching shopping square. their warranty is manufacturer warranty and only $10 more after price match.

        • If they refused, i think i heard people do price protection on Kogan. Buy it off officeworks, then price protection it? LOL

  • Did anyone receive their kogan S3 yet? Does it say from which country it is imported?

  • +1

Thanks for the heads up OP - got one from Officeworks this morning - was in and out in no time at all ("that's what she said").

Amazing price for an AU unlocked S3.

    • Which officeworks? my local one in yarraville refuses to match Kogan. Can you post a receipt?

      • North Sydney - copy of receipt here -> http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=zu096q&s=6

        • Thanks. For some reason I always get knocked back on a price match at OW.

        • You will prob get knocked back by trying to use that receipt. Because now OW requests for "Original" receipts, photocopies/photos doesn't usually cut it anymore. They will give you the usual excuse of "the pic could be photoshopped"

      • I got them to price match Shopping-square easily which turned out to be 397 for aus stock and warranty :) not as good as some of the others on here have gotten but hey im happy with getting it today instead of waiting a week and getting local warranty

  • +1

They wouldn't price match Kogan, so I thought ah heck, if they match shipping square I'll pick it up for under 400 - still a deal somewhat. They guy jumped on the ss website and they had $1 shipping! A few phone calls and checks with supervisors later, I got it for $367.60. Winninggggggggg!

  • +1

I got Office Works, Hoxton Park NSW to price match Kogan's $369 this morning. They didnt even bother to check the shipping costs, so I got the phone for a total of $350.55 after the price match discount. Got out of there as quick as possible before they changed their mind!

  • Congrats to you all successfully price beat at OW. Our WA OW has the worst price match policy that has almost 0% successful rate, and they just simply say: "we don't match that kind of deal".

    • Did you try shopping square?

      • Why bother when they didn't even want to price beat HN. I wrote a complaint but nothing comes back.

  • I've just ordered a white 4G from Kogan. Ah, should have tried to price match and be happy with the blue ;)
