Are these tickets valid up to June 30 only like the previous deals?

    • I beileve they are. We were going down for a weekend with the kids soon and it worked out much cheaper just buying four of these at 50% rather than paying $99 for something that will only last until the end of June anyway. It costs nearly $90 to get into most of these places?

    • We have the paper vouchers, yes valid till 30 June

    • I thought the the code word was free. Does anyone know where I go to get the voucher for the 50% off theme park tickets? We where thinking to go to Movie World and Sea World. I want to buy them online at themeparks.com.au/sale to save 50%. WOW what a deal!! Can anyone help please?

  • VIP passes aren't limited to QLD residents although its bolt valid until June 30 hence the cheaper prices.

    • +1

VIP is QLD and NSW 2450-2490 only, so easily the best deal if you have 'proof' of QLD residency. Not sure exactly what they accept other than a licence?

      • is there any way round this for other nsw residents? i live in sydney, but will be going there over the kids hols..

        • From the website "Restrictions: Postcode restricted. Only available to guests with photographic proof of residency for Qld and Northern NSW (postcodes 2450 – 2490 only). Each guest must have their own proof of residency"
Interested if you work out how to meet this!

        • Are toddlers required to show some sort of proof as well? I have a 3 year old so I'm wondering.

        • +1

Pretty sure they wouldn't bother with kids, wouldn't try saying the kid lives in QLD if you don't though, that might get some awkward questions!

        • We took our 3yo last year and never asked for proof of age, so if they are small its free for under 3s

        • edit: replied in the wrong place :/

      • Hi Cooperdog,

In the past I have been to Movie world and all they do is just ask you verbally what your postcode is. I think that's as much proof as they need.

  • Beaten by 26 seconds From their site "The Locals’ VIP Pass is back! QLD residents and NSW postcodes 2450 - 2490 can get unlimited entry to Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World and Wet’n’Wild Water World until 30 June 2013 for the super lite price of just $79.99." (Obviously pre-sale price)

        Why all the hate?

        • </haters>

  • $40 is still a good deal for 2.5 months of entry. Especially if you live close.

EDIT: new passes (expiring June 2014) should be release next month. So if you plan to buy a pass for next year anyways, this pass offers less than 2.5 months of effective entry. Maybe only 1 month.

  • Expiry date is way too short. Would have been better if it was till the end of the year.

  • Damn.. My friends bought the VIP pass last week at the normal price :/

  • Just joined after I saw this deal! (Great deal to search for theme park specials!)

Is there anyway to purchase a VIP pass (even with a surcharge but still cheaper than regular $109) on this site?? Can only find the link to the local one.

Still super cheap though with 50% off.

    Thanks

  • Damn. Could have used this just last week. Was literally at Movie World last Sunday and the best price I could dig out was $70.

  • So what about DreamWorld, any specials going on there?

  • Dreamworld have a deal on their website at the moment

    • The promote it that way but the world pass @ $99 (adult) is pretty normal, they were $75 for 21 day pass in the other deal above.

    • Use coupon code CROODS to get 25% off dreamworld 1 day tickets. Must be booked before 21.04.13. Once booked, they are valid for 6 months

Darn. We're taking the jawas in the plastic spaceship up to QLD in October…. ah well….

    • You made me LOL from my stall

I have my mom visiting from another country, do you think they will ask her proof of residency? What if she can't prove it?

    • +1

They probably will ask. I visited recently with my friend and his wife (QLD residents), and they wanted to buy these passes at the gate. My friend brought his ID, but his wife didn't. They wouldn't let her buy the local pass. She had to buy the out of town one (for more $$).

  • VIP is for Movie World, Sea World and Wet and Wild, not Dream World.

  • Thanks OP, booked 6 tickets. This worked out even cheaper than the infinite rewards price.

  • Should I purchase a VIP local ticket for 10 months old baby?

    • +1

kids are 3-13 years, so your baby should get free entry.

      • thank you.

    • +2

As a rep you should know this :-)

3 year and above requires entrance fee.

      • thank you

  • Anyone reckon I can purchase this and go in even though my postcode is 2000-2050?

  • Is the website legit? Just wondering about putting visa card details on there when it doesn't have paypal or any contact numbers on the site? Has anyone successfully brought them from the site above?
    Thanks

    • -1

No sale with an iPad… <haters>

    • +1

Yeah it's legit, shows up in my account as : VILLAGE ROADSHOW THEME Oxenford AUS

      • Sweet thanks, always abit sketchy with this kinda stuff

  • we got two tickets and took baby with us. We gonna celebrate his first Bday in there soon!

  • Thanks so much for this, going to Brissy next month and this is a great saving for two adults and two kids.

  • does it have to go in with child ? I am visiting movie world with my girl friends next months.

  • Use CROODS and Infinite Rewards link (see 25% off Dreamworld post) to book Dreamworld tickets, much cheaper than onsite.

  • So has anyone in Victoria successfully purchased and used these tickets and where does the CROODS code relate to… did I miss something?

  • Thanks to Ozbargain and the awesome members we just had a fantastic weekend on the Gold Coast. Cheap flights through expedia and Sea World and Wet'n'wild at 1/2 price. A big thank you from my whole family.

  • I just got this offer in my inbox:
