You need to be an Optus customer for home phone, mobile or internet to be eligible for this deal. OP can you add this infromation to the description?

    • I just used my sister inlaws number as she is with optus shes never gonna use it

      • Also, as they are only vouchers, they can be gifted to anyone.

No reason why you can't use someone else's Optus Movie Rewards account to buy your vouchers.

    • Do you need to be an actual Optus (ie the company) customer, or can it be thru an Optus reseller like Vaya?

  • Does anyone know when the vouchers expire? And if the kid's tickets can also be used for Seniors?

    • 3 months from date of purchase

    • I bought some on 3 April, and they had an expiry of 31 July.

It mentioned on the ones I bought that they were only redeemable for adult tickets, I'd assume the kids would say the same.

    • .

      • You do get a voucher, which you can present directly at the Cinema for any movie and any session (other than after 5pm on a Saturday), or you can use that voucher to book online. Apparently there is no booking fee for booking online with these particular vouchers.

        • I bought some of these vouchers last time, and when I went to Chadstone cinema to redeem them, I was told I would have to redeem them on-line, I could not do so in person. Oddly, this only applied to the Child/Senior tickets - I was stil allowed to use the Adult ticket in person.

  • Should be made clear that these tickets are only for Hoyts/Reading Cinemas/Dendy only.

  • Last time they were kids and seniors tickets, is it liley to be senior tickets again?

I would say they would be the same tickets, child and senior were interchangeable . I got them last time ,it was great I got to go to the movies I wanted and nanna took the kids to GI Joe. You don't have to use them at the same session.

just got my tixs via email, can confirm it says kids and seniors.

  • anybody buy eVoucher, how long till you got sent the voucher in email?

    • +1

Less than 10 mins, but up to 30 mins. It is automated system.

      • yup got them, they were in my junk folder

  • Incredible. Reading Cinema support is just awesome - they have great 3D and popcorn. If only the local one had frozen coke - I would go there more often.

In my experience it's best to redeem the 3D vouchers at Hoyts in person as I never seem to be charged extra.

"From time to time, Optus may also offer kids movie voucher promotions for selected cinemas. In addition to the general terms and conditions of Optus Movie Rewards, these offers will be subject to any conditions stated on the promotional webpages for the offers and the following additional terms:
Can only be used at; NSW: Hoyts – The Entertainment Centre, Sydney; Hoyts Westfield Chatswood, Sydney; VIC: Hoyts Eastland Shopping Centre, Ringwood; Hoyts Chadstone, Chadstone; Hoyts Victoria Gardens, Richmond; WA Hoyts Carousel, Cannington."

If this is correct this offer doesn't apply to Reading then :(

  • optus movie rewards is the best bargain for cinema tickets. no additional booking fee when you do it online, which is awesome

  • I received an email the other day with the code Rktc9mp free popcorn

I just tried it with this offer and it accepted the code! I got an email sent with the free regular popcorn voucher. Even though I ordered 4 tickets all up, I received one popcorn voucher.

    • I bought Hoyts tickets.

"These vouchers can be redeemed at any Hoyts cinema and are valid for 3 months from date of purchase."

  • There is no longer an option for kids and seniors tickets. Marking expired.
