70

Was doing some search's on JB and came across this handset.

Good price for anyone after a larger screen phone for sub $140

The phone is an older model however still a good handset for anyone who needs a phone to just call and send SMS's.

Form looks of it Telstra says this handset is Windows Phone 7.8 available which gives you the smaller tiles like WP8

  • 1GHz processor and 576 RAM, will not support tethering.

might be a good phone for my old man tho

  • if this was something under 100 id bite

but this is seriously museum display in phone tech

    • +3

Perfect for museum piece parents :-)

  • Check out xda-developers to see what the phones true potential is likely to be..

  • This close to the 520s price might as well get it, as its a WP8 device and seems simular spec wise.

Dad has one of these, it's alright but the battery life is pretty poor. Doesn't have 7.8 yet but apparently that's coming soon, still in testing. Not sure why - I didn't think carriers were allowed to modify WP software.

  • is it unlocked?

  • I've still got one of these a my device (generic not Telstra version) and it's working fine. I got the 7.8 update on it a month of so ago, still works without skipping a beat :) You can't tether via USB, but you can use it as a wifi hot spot.

I'd go this for a little more - well worth it

    • The 520 is a much better phone.

    • +1

No, definitely go the 520. Windows Phone 8 vs 7.8 and Dual Core 1Ghz vs Single 1.4Ghz

  • The Xperia X10 had my attention for a while, but even with custom roms does not go above Android 2.3 :(

    • +1

Its still better than other phones around $69 :)

      • Agreed, I'm still weighing the pros v cons :)

        Cons:

        • it's old

        Pros:

        • it's damn cheap
      • Where's the Xperia X10?

        • The link is in the description

        • O right, its expired now :( no wonder I couldn't find it on the site.

  • Is it brand new? Any ideas?

    • they're all brand new

  • Deleted….

Had the HD7 for well over a year. Great phone!

  • Quite laughable that the Nokia C2-01 is on the same page as the above N8 for more money
