    • Check the second page. I had similar concern. the CEO has agreed to honour their contract by replying to my email.

    • now that sounds scary…

redemption has changed to a month

      lol

  • Watch this thread once it all goes pear shaped… Will be good for the lulz :P

  • grabbed one and am going to sell my 1TB Lacie

    • only if you get this one :p -

  • +2

this one is going to come down smashing…..

  • 1356 sold… that's a lot of 'email' orders to process. Think I will wait for the next retailer hdd special.

  • -2

    Ordered 4 :D Sweet deal.

    • I am not sure why I am negged, I didn't violate the deal.
Its limit of 2 vouchers (2x2 HDDs).

      • Amir, Unless I am mistaken, i think its a limit of 2 vouchers. Each voucher is per hdd. Its 1x 2TB Hdd. Not 2x 1TB Hdd. Did you think they meant 2 TB HDDs as in 2x 1 terabyte hdds?

        • lonewolf, look at the first comment in this page, DiGiT02 also ordered 2x2. I am pretty sure its 2 x (2TB HDD) per voucher.

    • hehe this was funny when i read it

but im not sure why you got negged lol

      but,

      if you got 4 hdd

      wouldnt it be 4X2TB HDDs

      rather than 2X2 HDDs

      • I think ppl who snoozed are jealous :P What I meant is I ordered 2 voucher, each voucher has 2 HDDs so 2x2 = 4 HDDs :D

        • I think you are mistaking what he did. He ordered 2 vouchers per transaction. As in he ordered 2 vouchers on his first transaction and paid for that, then logged back in and ordered another 2 vouchers on his 2nd transaction. Each 2TB hdd is PER voucher. 2 vouchers only give you 2 HDDs. Each transaction comes on a separate PDF document and on each document there will be 2 unique voucher codes hence 4 unique voucher codes and hence 4 vouchers.

        • lonewolf, I just checked the pdf file there is only one voucher ID. I received 2 emails for 2 orders. So what I understand is you can apply the same voucher ID on 2 HDDs.

        • Well i ordered 2 vouchers in 1 transaction and hence i got 2 voucher IDs on my PDF file. I think you have only ordered 2 HDDs total. As in 1 hdd per voucher / transaction.

This isn't going to end well… (yet still bought one)

  • Is it difficult to get reversal via CC provider if this goes south?

    • +1

Someone above said yes, because ourdeal provided their service i.e. voucher. You will need to follow up with Axeze

      • Cheers, reading back on some of the replies…seems they are not answering the phone and no reply to the email I sent earlier.
Funny how the guy that set up the deal is off crook.

    • need at least 1 mths as my experience with hp australia.

  • +3

Agree with others, this deal is going to end up badly.. 1457 bought now.

How the hell is he going to fill the orders? Plus he is losing money on each sales. Assuming $20 each, that's close to $30,000 plus delivery cost lost. That money could be better spent elsewhere for promotional purposes.

Note the assumption of $20 lost per unit is extremely conservative too as the drive is selling for $140 at the cheapest place I can find on staticice. Make that $40 each and the retailer could be losing $100k or more (with delivery and handling labor cost) easily at this rate. :D

    Too good to be true.

    • maybe go to Thailand to find some flooded dirty-cheap HDD to fill the order?

      • I guess the same, flooded stock~

      • +2

It is Australian Law that you have to state refurbished products on the sale page if it is refurbished stock. ACCC will give you a big fine if u sold 2000 units of refurbished products without stating it.

1500 sold… this is gonna end in tears

  • +1

I'm after a 2Tb drive to replace my now full 1Tb in my Dxtreme 380.
The supply issue worries me - already over 1500 sold with 1 day 18 hours to go - what's going to be the final figure?
Very tempted with this offer but as the old saying goes …. if it appears too good to be true then it probably is ….

    • Should be a prize for the one who can guess the final amount bought….maybe a 2TB HDD.
Waiting to see if it goes past 2000.

      • i bet 3000

      • past 2000 already

  • How do we use our Stockland voucher to get this drive for $55?

    • what a weird post to downvote. It seems like a perfectly legit question.

  • +1

I like it how everytime there is seemingly a deal to good to be true, everyone gets all excited yet feel the deal is somehow an error and will fall through but yet still at the same time keeps one's fingers acrossed. A bit like buying the lottery ticket if you ask me. :)

    • yes I feel the same

but thats the fun in being an OzBargainer :)

  • +1

THEY ARE HONOURING I JUST CALLED THEM ….THEY HAVE 2000 IN STOCK….BUT DELIVERY WOULD TAKE A SOLID 2 WEEKS.

    • +3

      WHY ARE YOU YELLING!

      • +1

lol. sorry am at work…forgot my caps was on..oh well…

        • +8

Lol, noisy work environment…you should call Workcover! :p

        • All good. Well lets hope at 2000 it cuts out haha

    • Did you call ourdeal or axeze?

      • i called axeze…tat lady i spoke to make me look very stupid…she just said…"why wouldnt we honour it?"" then gave a giggle…

        • Thanks.

Guess we will find out shortly if the limit really is 2000 or not. Not far to go.

    • NOOOOOOOO

I didnt put an order through in time :(

  • Not sure if anyone has noticed, when you go to Gold Coast (http://www.ourdeal.com.au/Gold-Coast) This HD is for sale with a different sale number (1513 vs 1555 at time of posting). Could it be 3000 Plus sold?

  • Some parts in the OurDeal Terms & Conditions:

    1. All goods / services are subject to Supplier availability. We cannot guarantee that goods / services will be available so that you can redeem your voucher at your preferred date and time.

    2. We will however refund the price which you have paid for a voucher if:

    we become aware that a Supplier has become bankrupt, started being wound up, entered into administration or had a receiver appointed to it after the start of the Advertising Period but before we transfer the purchase price which you have paid for a voucher to the Supplier;
we make a mistake, for example by issuing you a voucher which is incorrect.

I would think as "Agent" that there is some responsibility on OurDeal to ensure that there is sufficient supply of the product as there are fields for both minimum and maximum limits and accordingly there would be some onus of OurDeal to stress these maximum limits to suppliers before it is posted.

    • like i said, i just called them and i asked…."are u guys going to honour this as there is over 1500 orders?"…She said yes we are…but delivery is a solid 2 weeks.

      • see massari post…they're oversold then if they only got 2000 in stock as you said.

        • I aint sure about massari post, you can call them if you want

        • Hopefully it's 2000 for each discrete deal (1513 vs 1555) as per massari's comment.

      • Cheers mate - sorry missed the post.

One of reviewers says it's a "Seagate ST2000DM001, a delicious 2Tb 7200rpm SATA 6Gbps 64M cache", really want to get another one now.

Edit: couldn't resist, just bought another one.

    • It's a good drive. I have one and have used it for about 6 months now. No issues at all.

Anyone getting "Voucher unavailable." when clicking the download button on my account profile?
EDIT: NVM must be so many orders its slowing down.

  • Guys

I have recently purchase 5 units and they are 7200rpm drive, not a green drive, not a problem with one, when opened.
If internal drive is from China is 7200, if Thailand green type 5000ish type. Cheers

  • I've worked with these companies before, with where i work, and they specify a limit before the deal starts, and the software, ourdeal.com, groupon.com, etc.. all the social sites, have a upper limit, and SOMETIMES, only sometimes, they factor in a 10% oversell for those that just plain forget to do their voucher redemption, so ourdeal would have killed it if the upper limit had been hit, its a preset list of vouchers generated.

  • Damn…I went for it as well even though I recently gotten the 2tb USB3.0 deal from Harvey Norman for $89. Going to replace my 300gb secondary internal drive now.

  • +1

    Email replied.

Yes this is a legitimate with Our Deal. We have 2,000 units to clear. They have come from China and are branded.

    Sally

    • Branded Seagate, or the axeze name?

      • seagate

      • +3

Or rather, that's what SHE said…

  • Thanks grabbed 2. After creating a Raid 1, it will make a great backup source for all the pics.

  • Argh… i think im the 2 after 2,000… i ordered 2 and when i clicked submit it probably added it on… Do you get an email or anything?

When i clicked submit it just went to another deal and no email no anything.

  • +1

wow so 4004 sold = $260,260. At 5% interest per annum = $13,013. So each month delay = $1084 in revenue. Hopefully they deliver in a timely manner and this doesnt turn out like the shopping square SGS2 deal.

    • no need to neg vote - im simply stating what they could be doing with our money if they hold it for an extended period of time. I say "our" cause i also purchased one.

    • +1

the count is the same across Australia,.. its not QLD + AUST = 4000, its QLD & AUST = 2000..

the count went up for a national at the same rate as just the local…

      • thanks for clarifying that - $542 per month then.

    • I wonder how much commission ourdeals gets?

      • 50%- axeze only gets $32.5

        • +2

i strongly doubt they are selling these drives for $32.50

  • Has anyone sent the voucher number to [email protected] today, as in before the 13th of Jan, and got a reply?

    • Sent the email - have not had a reply.

    • +3

ill be waiting till the 13th of jan as per their instructions.

you can imagine, though, 12am on the 13th, 4000 emails flooding their inbox!

      • They only sold 2,002 units? Why 4,000 emails?

EDIT: Ah…everyone who bought one and their mom will be sending these emails?

  • missed :(
