      • Definitely interested in picking one up, particularly if they come with the PCIe riser and add-in card. Please be sure to update this post if more stock becomes available (hopefully updates trigger notifications).

  • For those who bought this, was there onboard wifi or separate via dongle? I received mine pretty quickly but doesn't appear to have any wifi installed and no dongle provided?

    • Separate via dongle

    • Separate via dongle too a little usb WIFI

  • The 512nvme is at the back for anyone that just got it and opened it and can’t find it and panicked

Anyone how can I accommodate a large hdd with this full size 3.5 inch ones. Want to use it as a nas and software side things. Just need a generally direction thanks a lot

    • No way you'd be able to cram a 3.5" drive inside the case, as a 2.5" barely fits. I figure you'd need to use an external enclosure, or think about those PCIe to NVME adapters that give you an additional 2-4 slots.

    • 3.5" won't fit in the case, you can hook them up externally with pcie/nvme to sata adapters but will still need external power supply of some variety to power them. Example from the interwebs linked below, but these really aren't best starting point for 3.5" drives.
      nvme to sata example

You can still fit a fair few ssd's in these though if you get a few adapters:
      - 2x nvme in the slots,
      - 1x SATA 2.5",
      - 1x PCIe slot, get a pcie to m2 adapter for another ssd,
      - 1x WiFi slot, get a wifi m.2 a+e to m key adapter to put in another ssd, (will be at pcie x1 speed)
Do you need more than 5x ssds in the little thing?

    • @Hornpub just buy an External drive and plug in the USB cable - https://www.amazon.com.au/20TB-Elements-Desktop-External-Dri…

      • is USB interface gonna be sufficient for NAS usage? i got a 16TB exo drive for it.

        • Yep, it'll be fine - basic USB 3 is way faster than a mechanical hard drive 👍

  • I'm hoping someone can help me. I bought a NVIDIA Quadro P1000 for this machine but I think I need a PCI riser to install it. The one it came with doesn't fit and I don't know which type I need.

Could someone please point me in the right direction? Also if someone knows where to pick up a back plate for the card to that'd be great. Thanks.

Use riser with FRU number 01AJ940. I got mine from eBay: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/335343246666

Note that the baffle that comes with that riser is for a NIC. If the screw holes line up with your GPU you might be able to repurpose it.

Riser works fine with an RTX A2000, but obviously since the GPU is double slot I can't put the top cover back on. Will get a single slot cooler for it at some point.

As for the P1000 baffle, this may fit: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006748306174.html

      • Perfect! Thanks sickburn.

      • Huh, the P1000 is a very very basic card - it doesn't make any sense to spend tens of dollars on brackets and risers for such low performance.

What's your use case for the P1000 ?

        • I only intend using it for general duties web browsing and kids playing Minecraft, Roblox, fortnite. Maybe some minor photo editing.

          What would you recommend instead?

@Cheap Skate: Gaming on Small Form Factor and Micro Form Factor (this one) isn't really viable any more.

Back in the day, when a GTX 1050 TI was a high performing card for $150 they were awesome.

But today, old cards like the GTX 1050 still cost the same or more (!!), and the better performing alternatives cost significantly more. The low profile cards just got left further behind as each new generation appeared.

Just buy a larger machine and put in a real graphics card - you get way way more performance for your money.

            • @Nom: Thanks Nom. Good to know. I have a GTX 1050ti in an old build, I might see how that goes.
