Its Back! - Universal KeyChain Remote 98cents + $2 Postage. Australian Stock (Limited Stock)

120

Greetings.

Our last deal sold out within an hour or so as we didn't limit they amount that people could buy, so many people bought 5~10+ and depleted our stocks too quick. We had great feedback, and got a couple of emails from people to let us know how much fun they had pranking people with this. We also made it 1 cent cheaper because we know you like a better deal than before :)

So we got some more in, limit of 1 per customer. All stocks are black, comes with a battery (which cost $3 or so at your local super market alone!). The battery is already inside the device, but it is protected by a little bit of plastic, so when you get it all you need to do is remove the plastic and away you go.

Product:

Here is a super cheap Universal key chain remote:

Functions:

On/Off
Channel Up
Channel Down
Mute
Volume Up
Volume Down
Av/TV

The remote works on almost all TVs we have tested it on so far. To get it to work you hold down MUTE on the remote. The remote will cycle through all the brands TV codes it knows until it gets to the TV you are pointing it to. As soon as it mutes the TV, you let go. It is then locked to that TV so you can use all the remotes functions. It will cycle through the most popular TVs first I think. A Sony TV takes about 5 seconds to work, my a cheaper TV takes about 20 seconds.

Great product and exactly what I'd love to put in our 15+ meeting rooms for our easily confused staff… but I can get these via eBay as many as I want for only $1.27 each: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mini-Universal-Infrared-IR-TV-Set…

Definitely not Neg-worthy as this deal is for local Aussie stock but limit of one per person makes it a no deal for me sorry OMC :(

    • +6

Thats fine. We aren't in china/HK so we cannot post something for 25 cents. I wish we could! aussie post monopoly :(

      • Yeah, agreed. You've definitely done as best you can!

    • Item location: Hong Kong

      This deal is Australian stock.

Perhaps PayPal do not allow PayPal to be used for the sales of Flash Cards in Australia?

Interesting that your whole site is otherwise devoted to mod chips and flash cards etc., and that you place this item under Flash Cards.

Home :: DS and DS Lite :: Flash Cards :: Universal keychain TV Remote Control

Surely not just a sneaky way to get around OzBargains ban on promoting/posting illegal items?

    • +1

I dont think the flash cards or mod chips are illegal

      • +1

Either way, they are against ozbargain rules im fairly sure.

        • Can you show me where?

        • +1

Maybe im hallucinating. Or maybe it was against r4 cards..
Feel free to neg me if im wrong. I cant seem to find where i saw it before..

        • -1

This reps previous (1st?) post for a DS/DS Lite Flash Card was removed. He then used the low cost TV Remote ruse in order to get his site publicity on OzBargain.

Why else would he suddenly start selling such an item? Never sold it before. Then 'found' them in his stock (so he claimed last time)?

And why list them under "DS and DS Lite Flash Cards"? Obvious really.

        • a3, i told you last time he has stocked these for years - i bought a few from him over 4 years ago.

the deal posted has nothing to do with modchips so you can take your hate somewhere else, this deal is perfectly within the rules.

      • -2

I dont think the flash cards or mod chips are illegal

No, just their sale in Australia. Something about them being a device to circumvent copyright protection. I know some compare them to a DVD burner and such, but…..

        • +2

modchips are legal to sell in australia, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.
it might be against a companies EULA but it doesnt break any law.

        • -1

I did a search last time and found something covering them in a Copyright Act. I will look again. However, if you have some link(s) that show that their sale in AU is legal, please post them.

Just to be clear - I myself have nothing against such devices nor their sale in or into Australia. I just do not like the way this rep is using (misusing) OzBargain.

          That was a Mod Chip.

I know that it is a 'device' - but I was talking about Flash Cards.

Penalty: 550 penalty units or imprisonment for 5 years, or both.

          Defence—no promotion, advertising etc.

                   (2) Subsection (1) does not apply to the person if:

                           (a) the device is a circumvention device for the technological protection measure only because it was promoted, advertised or marketed as having the purpose of circumventing the technological protection measure; and

                           (b) both of the following apply:

                                    (i)  the person did not do such promoting, advertising or marketing;

(ii) the person did not direct or request (expressly or impliedly) another person to do such promoting, advertising or marketing.

Note: A defendant bears an evidential burden in relation to the matter in subsection (2) (see subsection 13.3(3) of the Criminal Code ).

        • none of that applies to flash cards because they do not in themselves circumvent any copyright. they are blank, they dont have games or anything on them.

you are only circumventing copyright when you put a copied game or something on there, if you want to backup your games which you are legally entitled to or want to run homebrew (open source) or self written code there is nothing wrong with using a modchip.

if modchips or flash cards were illegal, omc would have been shut down a long time ago, obviously its in a legally grey area but they cannot be held liable for how people use their products.

its like selling a farmer a cattle prod and then charging the seller for murder if he kills someone with it.

anyway you always take things way off topic, this deal is for a remote which is sweet. i love using it on the shuttle buses to the airport, it blows peoples mind.

I like that argument, it is exactly what the Americans say about guns.

        • -1

Lol A3Australia, don't just compare them to DVD Burner…..
Pretty much everything electronic can be used to circumvent copyright.

Having a PC or a Laptop allows you to do it, since it allows you to download pirated goods.
Having the Internet is the same, since it gives you another tool to download pirated goods.
Having a DVD burner allows you to copy movies….
Having a mobile phone can do so too….. if you download a torrent program for it.

I don't think under law it is illegal yet for sale of a Flash Cart, people were saying its illegal just because Nintendo had enough money to sue and win a court case against one of distributors in Australia for R4 Carts.

I cannot seem to find any clear cut laws specified against Flash Carts.

        • Blah blah blah blah.
Most of your posts are negative.
Why so much hate. Where's the love?

        • Banned Item list

          Specifically:
          R4 Cards
A takedown request from Nintendo Australia in 2010.

The rep asked us before posting so not sneaky. We are complying with the Nintendo's request to not allow R4 card deals.

It doesn't work on my new LG or my new Samsung. Works only on my ancient CRT tv's.

    • i found with my samsung plasma that i had to cycle the scan a few times before the buttons worked for their intended purpose, sometimes when it connected it adjusted other things like contrast and such so might be worth giving it another go
