  • Warning - not compatible with some motherboards.

what's the source on what i think is a rather ridiculous claim?

      • Follow link to OW web page, click Review, second review. Reviewer basically said: Unable to use keyboard until Windows driver is loaded, so it was useless for BIOS or DOS/Linux system rescue. It may be not working for that particular brand of motherboard.

        • I question the usefulness of this source.

        • Wouldn't that just be because it is a USB keyboard and some (older) PCs wont work in BIOS/DOS?

        • +8

If by older you mean 1995 then perhaps.

        • +1

Yes. So it's more like some MBs not compatible with this. The keyboard doesn't have a PS/2 connecter so you'll need one that does to access BIOS with older MBs.

        • I have seen someone with a new motherboard and by default the option to use a USB keyboard in BIOS was disabled. I thought it was weird and fixed it for him with an old PS2 keyboard I had laying around so that it worked from that point on.

        • I believe most if not all mobo BIOS's have a setting for 'legacy USB'. I believe it's sole purpose is for this issue. I would hazard to guess that this setting would have solved the reviewers main issue?

        • You just need to go into the bios and enable 'Legacy USB Support' and it will work. Every motherboard I've owned since USB came out has had this option.

        • +1

I have a ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 and I had problems with this keyboard and BIOS navigation. Had to connect a $5 cheapie to use the motherboard features. A BIOS update fixed the problem. Point is, this problem does exist with this keyboard.

        • It could also be because the poster had the keyboard plugged in USB 3.0. USB 3.0 drivers seemed to only load once windows was running for me before

        • +1

I have this keyboard and have run into this problem… Strangely enough, switching usb ports fixed it.

I know its not supposed to change anything… I can't explain it either. But it works.

      • To be fair, some motherboards only have ps/2 ports, no USB. But we're talking the 1990s here…

        • I've had plenty of usb keyboards not working with bios. Not really a problem for most people (just keep a cheap PS/2 keyboard around to change bios settings).

Personal experience. I have an Gigabyte P45 board.

Here is a link to show it is not an isolated problem:

The claim is not ridiculous I'm stuck with this exact issue,

      • Will you now eat your words?

    • +2

Bit harsh negging this comment, I bought this kb last time from Logitech for around this price. It has been a complete lemon, my pc hangs when booting - yes it is a current gigabyte mb. With alot of research and troubleshooting there is no fix provided so buy this with caution - it was a waste of money for me.

    • Not this same keyboard, but my current keyboard doesn't work with my motherboard until the OS boots. Apparently due to a BIOS issue when initialising USB devices. So, I can completely understand this could be the case in some situations.

An Officeworks deal where OP has taken the time to check stock?! THIS IS MADNESS

  • +2

I have one of these is it very good.

    • +1

Though, I've had mine for a while now and I still accidentally hit all the G buttons on the left side. :( Sucks when I meant to hit the shift key but don't.

      • +1

I have a G15 that I had this trouble with. Just map the G keys to the ones beside it. eg. G6 = ctrl. That way the bottom left key is still ctrl. Works for me :-)

  • ^^ What Brucey said…. but it appears to be out of stock already.

  • Just purchased 1

  • I was looking to get an entry level ducky mech keyboard for my first proper gaming system. Would this be a better choice?

    • +4

Completely different beast. This is not a mechanical KB, it uses rubber dome keys. That said it is a fairly good rubber dome, I'm using one at the moment.

    • +4

This is a better keyboard if you have a pressing need for the macro keys and backlighting.

The Ducky keyboard would be a better pick for you in all other situations, especially if you're a frequent user, the key response is worlds ahead for both typing and gaming.

That said, Logitech has a stellar reputation for durability and reliability for all of their peripherals.

Site says out of stock, but searched by postcode 3000 and all 3 stores have stock in melb cbd

    • slim or crab claw preferred?

  • Using one of these atm, only because my usual one died. The usb port on mine died pretty early on, never bothered returning it or doing warranty coz the shop I got it from closed up. Good price though.

  • Thanks OP, just ordered one.

  • Will this keyboard allow the user to kill more noobs?

    • +2

No, but if you buy it, I will have one more noob to kill.

  • Whenever I place a order it says out of stock pick up and delivery so I rang up officeworks and they said they reserve two for me. Hopefully they do :)

  • Vermont South (VIC) has stock (as indicated on the website). Just reserved one, thank you very much OP!

    • LOL i just reserved two from the same store

  • I bought a Logitech G510 (same as this but with a digital screen) but I took it back for a refund.

It was horrible to type on, wobbly keys with no feedback at all, the keys are smaller than standard keyboard keys.

The only positive to this keyboard is the volume wheel that I really liked but for typing it was basically unusable (for me).

    • I totally agree with the 'horrible to type on'.
It truly was a horrid horrid keyboard for typing.
Having said that, the lights were cool tho.

      • +1

I disagree, I found typing very easy on my one. Horses for courses I guess.

      • I'm with beakeroo on this. I'm a little picky when typing and this one is quite comfortable to type with.

        Different strokes for different folks.

  • seems out of stock online for NSW.

      .

  • I have this keyboard. I find the buttons are too tall and there's too much space between them. I have big hands, but it's still too spread out for me. I bought it and shelved it a few weeks later for a microsoft keyboard.

  • DW-LOGITECH GAMING KEYBOARD G110(INLOG0751) is out of stock online. Please call 1300 633 423 to find if this product is stocked in a store near you. The product has been removed from your shopping cart.

Was trying to send to my work address, QLD 4000

I actually like this keyboard. Using it now. The G keys take a while to get used to not hitting..

  • I bought it last time OW had this deal, not a bad keyboard imo.

  • Out of stock?
Can anyone tell me if there's any stock left, at all, anywhere?

    • +1

Use the OW web page to check. Change postcode to 2000 in the upper right hand corner, wait for the page to refresh, then click "Store Availability" for the search box to pop up. Now search for in-store stocks by postcode, e.g. 3000. As of 10PM, stock is available in S Melb, Fitzroy & Richmond. Melbourne is where you are from, yes?

guys, i reserved two at vermont south office works but i decided to just buy one and give you all a fighting chance :) so yea,,. one more at vermont officeworks hehe

  • Got one for $70 from LTS many moons ago.
Awesome keyboard but lately the left ctrl key seems to be gettubg sticky causing me to use crazy windows shortcuts and close documents I'm working on every time I type w.

Agree that the G-keys take a while to get used to though but I do love the illumination - great if you are like me and do computer work late into the night with only the illumination of your monitor.

    • +1

      <immature>

      Sticky keys eh?

Computer work late at night with the lights of eh?

      </immature>

In all seriousness have this keyboard and quite like it, served my noob gaming well. Noob gaming being International Cricket Captain 2001, which really only requires a mouse.

  • mark expired, all sold out

    • Some are still available in VIC stores such as Richmond.

  • 4 available - OW freo!

  • Sold out in all stores

  • I picked mine up tonight

  • Richmond (VIC) still says "in stock", a few others "limited stock", it's not all gone just yet OP!

    • I have no control over the "Out of Stock" sign. Somebody reported the deal to the mods, and a mod marked the deal as OOS. Please use the "Report" function at the top and ask a mod to unmark it.

      • OP should be able to click on "Out of Stock", and then click on "Remove Expiry". OP can also mark his/her deal as expired / out of stock.

Anyway I'm removing the expiry for you.

        • This is my first deal which got marked OOS, and I did not know I can unmark it myself. Thanks scotty, I learned something new.

  • I bought this in the Orange store yesterday and they had at least 10 left.
