      If its openvpn based you should be able to configure it on any OS with the modules.

      I've used alwaysvpn on Linux in the past. And it's openvpn based.

      PPTP uses two protocols and rarely by default uses "ports used by e-commerce sites". In fact, one protocol is GRE, which has no concept of a port.

      OpenVPN will generally work fine through firewalls if using TCP and port 443. I use it to get through my uni's firewall.

    Just be aware when you receive the email using your gmail account and you turn on "View translated message" the serial number will change and obviously won't work :) Took a couple of goes for me to realise this :)

    Please check carefully the Online Shield 365 and the Internet Anonym VPN are two DIFFERENT products. The free licence from this link is the Online Shield 365, not their VPN product.

    Also the way Online Shield 365 works is that it encrypts your data, send it through Steganos servers, then connects you to the internet. So if you go to www.dodgy-site.com, it will appear you came from Steganos and dodgy-site don't know your real address. However, that also means your communication pass through and can be collected by Steganos. I will leave the rest to your imagination - Heil Steganos - Ich liebe Mein Steganos.

    Hi Guys, I'm currently in China and would like to get this going to access Facebook. I've completed the install and key in the serial number but whenever I try to start the tunnel, it says

    Errors occured
    The VPN starter service could not be reached.

    Make sure the Steganos Anonym VPN Starter Service is running.

    I've tried reinstalling the SW but it wouldn't work. Even downloaded Steganos Internet Anonym 2012 but requires serial key to activate that.

    Any idea how to get it going?
