Free Shipping I believe.

The ABC shop has these for $749.59 and the cheapest I found elsewhere was around $400

been $199 on ebay for a while

I have one of these, and the alarm/touch screen/application support is primitive compared to the most basic of smartphone.

The music playing capabilities are also pretty bad, with quite a small selection of supported media types. It doesn't do FLAC.

Speakers are OK, but overall I couldn't recommend it to anyone.

    • Did you pay $599 for it?

Nope, Dad got it for me as a birthday present during one of these $199 sales from the pioneer shop.

I was quite excited that it ran Linux, but imagine my disappointment as it was really quite difficult to use it for even basic alarm functionality (separate alarms for weekend/weekday).

    Other colours available too.

    No airplay = no deal

    Good to know. Thanks all.

  • You would be better of buying the squeezebox range (off ebay since logitech has moved on) I have both and there is no comparison between the units. True the squeezebox is not touch based, but you can get an app on your phone and the selection and quality are awesome. However if you can squeeze out a little bit more, buy something with airplay. most are compatible with both android and ios.

much better off just buying some bluetooth speakers for your smartphone or tablet. No wonder they can't sell these things.

  • Even at "reduced" price here or elsewhere, any price over $99 is Overpriced - IMO - ie, for a multi-function box with Internet Radio & even DAB+ built in.

You'd be best to get a cheap Android phone, eg, (from a previous Deal) a $59 HTC ChaCha & the free "TuneIn" Internet radio app (or, when it's on sale, "TuneIn Pro" so you can record what you're listening to - any time you like).

If you want a standalone Internet Radio & DAB+ -box- (ie, with its own stereo speakers), Dick Smith has one - carrying its own brand - [similar to this Deal's tiny counterpart] with an Apple dock for $99.00 when not on sale… or - sometimes - $75 when it's on sale.

The only gap we find in the Dick Smith box is this: There's not easy way to record what you record (ie, without taking audio from speaker leads), as there is NO [Line-level] Audio Out… unless your Apple device gets Internet Radio output & can record it… Doubtful…

Of course, the CHEAPEST option can be "TuneIn" radio app for Android (& maybe also for Apple devices…); cheaper yet of you already have a compatible device.

Spend wisely & Live better with what you've saved… :-)
