New version of nexus 7 is supposedly going to be announced at Google I/O during May, and start selling in July. Obviously, nothing is concrete.

However, great price for local non-refurbished stock!

The description copy is already outdated so not a good idea to just cut n paste to OzBargain :) Android 4.2.2 now and 700k+ apps in Google Play.

Great price, but I have to add this to sum up the 'new deals section' for tonight: http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/37206860.jpg

Bought refurb for $169 on ozb last week. No thanks.

    • +2

      Thats fantastic! Tell us more?
But seriously, thats a refurb. These are brand new for $30 more..

      • -3

I'd rather save the $30 tbh. In theory the same product and same warranty.

        • +5

In theory a better product, as all refurbs have to be tested, unlike the original tablets.

    • Did u order from cfonline? Did they deliver ontime.

  • good deal but it was $197 at bing lee 3 weeks ago. comon guysssssssssssssssss

  • -1

    Weren't they $169 like 2 weeks ago?
I saw new non refurb stock at that price i am certain of it

Just price match Techrific at Office works- I got mine (32GB) for $204.25 a couple weeks ago.

Surprisingly, despite all the hype, I was pretty unhappy with it. The battery took ages to charge, browsing was slow and cluggy, and the creen I'd heard so much about didn't really do much for me. All up having a powerful computer and smart phone, I couldn't justify keeping it (so I sold it).

    • Lucky, I tried two different stores.. they both caught on to the shipping cost pretty quickly :(

  • If you haven't got one yet then I would say this is the tablet to get. I think this is a good deal still. below 200 shipped. I'm very happy with mine. On another topic, it would be good if someone lists the clickfrenzy best of the best deals.

    • Yeah this is pretty much the perfect tablet for me, except no HDMI-out, my Nexus 4 doesn't have USB OTG support, and SlimPort is expensive to use for a device without USB OTG support. If it had HDMI-out I'd jump on it.

      • Got my 32GB the same way ycon posted above, unlike ycon I've been really happy with mine.
As you say, no HDMI and no USB OTG sucks, but thanks to xda I now have USB OTG support :)

Not sure if I will get negged for this, TGG online only cyber cashback (store credit) Nexus 32GB $269 after $60 store credit $209 if anyone is interested.
    Edit: +$2 delivery

  • Yeah these were $160 something from another place a few weeks ago and I got my 32GB version from OW about 4 weeks ago based on the previous Bing Lee sale and I am sure the 16GB brand new ones were under $219.

Good device, love it, don't regret it for one second.

Bollocks - The Samsung Galaxy 2 7inch WiFi is now down to $196 - why would anyone look past that?

    • +1

Does the Galaxy 2 7 inch have anything over the Galaxy Nexus besides a rear facing camera (I don't think I've ever used my tablet as a camera) and a microsd slot?

      • +1

Matter of facts: The Nexus have better resolution and a quad core cpu vs the SS outdated dual core

        • This be true, the cpu in the nexus is a lot better. Will make quite a diff for video watching/gamez.

    • Would not go samsung due to samsung bloat.

    • The two are comparable when the Samsung GII 7inch is @$158 and when the nexus is @~$199. Only then would it be a dilenma

  • Is anyone else having trouble checking out? Keeps on giving me the 'undefined' error, no matter what payment method I try to use.

  • grabbed refurb one from cfonline shipped yesterday hoping to receive today.

    • Hey mate, were you able to check the tracking number for cfonline. My tracking no was not activated since the item was never picked by the courier. I received an email that it was shipped on Monday (ordered this Sunday). Mine hasn't even got to cfonline from asus is what the guy told me over phone.

  • Not 3G capable no buy….Not saying this isn't a good deal but another $30 would get you a 3G. If they offer $230 for it delivered would be nice.

  • Considering I got the 32gb version for $230 when Dick Smith had their sale, with PayPal $20 cash back, I would say, $179 would be a good price for this.

Seems like this will be the standard price for it.
