  This model was stocked by several other retailers, however most have now sold out. There is nothing wrong with this model whatsoever, it is simply an end-of-life model that needs to be cleared to make room for new stock.

  Also, price on http://www.mieleshop.com.au/s7580-autocare-hepa-garnet-red-m… is 599. So… is it 50% off a heavily marked up price?

    This is a pretty expensive vacuum in the US, currently retailing for $700+ including at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008BVJWNQ/

    So it wouldn't surprise me if the original RRP was actually $999 in Australia. That said, one has to wonder why Godfreys hasn't reduced the price further considering they still haven't sold out of these after offering this price for nearly 6 months now…

  Got my 6730. The red velvet finish is a bit silly, but boy is this a quality item. Good features are on/off and suction adjust on the handle and super long wand (good for tall people). Only feature it doesn't have is power heads. Only vacuum powered one's (that is , optional heads with a brush inside that is powered by the vacuum air). Very quiet and powerful.
