      JV, you've done it again!

    • +1

False savings have been claimed by rep, normal pricing by this store and no bargain.

      • -6

@pmupsinep, can you advise how it is normal pricing?

        • +4

You've had a sale for 3 silk ties for $21 at least 5 times this year and its only April. Rug sale pricing.

        • -7

The sale is run as per business requirement. If you are able to find better quality ties at such a discounted price elsewhere, you are more than welcome to make a purchase from there.

    • -5

You are referring to the deal which was run last month http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/97936#comment-1310041

      • +4

No that deal finished on 31-03.

The links above show you have had the same price since the start of this month, so all in all, they've been this price for 2 months now…

So claiming savings of $40 is deceptive and misleading when the saving is actually only $1

        • -4

If you see the Google Cache of individual ties list, you will see that they were changed to their normal price after the end of last deal.

Your Google cache shows that the price of $40 was still appearing on 1st April. I cannot remember now but there is every possibility that I would have changed the prices at the end of 1st April or on 2nd April which doesn't justify that the discounted price was on for the whole month.

        • While Google cache's timestamp is 1 April 12:45 GMT (would be almost 2 April in ADST), what @bluecasper claimed is actually quite probable. 29 March to 1 April is Easter long weekend and if the price updates aren't automated, they probably won't get done until Tuesday morning which is 2 April.

@jv & @waterproof — while Google's cache does not lie, please also consider some reasonable explanation.

Misleading at best. Aren't there laws against this?

Settle down boys, settle down - it's still a great deal. Where else will you get 3 decent silk ties delivered for $20? Clean up the blood and call off the wolves.

    • +3

It seems some would rather have a fight than a bargain.

I bought some ties from a previous "deal" but found them extremely short, too short to be able to tie a double windsor.
