Using a Sensei and it's awesome. Build quality is solid and feels less tacky and plasticky like how the Razer's feel
Using a sensei raw (rubberised) black, and it's great. Hands down best mouse i've ever owned. Primary use is for gaming. I've previously used the Razer Deathadder, Razer Copperhead, and Logitech G9. The sensei is very light and is a good height. Software is also decent with no bugs. Good response and glides quite well. would recommend.

However this is Ozbargain, I am just happening to be on the lookout for a headset for the office however I got a budget so I just checked if it can be made to be squeezed in there. Sensei [RAW] uses the Avago ADNS-9500 (laser mouse sensor) which has minor acceleration issues

I bought my Siberia V2's (black) for that much 18 months ago….. have I learnt since then. Great headset though, light and comfy with clear crisp sound

I've given away a lot of SteelSeries products at my LAN party and to say the least the build quality isn't that great, though razer isn't that bad anymore.
edit: I should point out that I don't give steelseries away for prizes now due to the above issues and my post below.
Build quality is very good and they provide 2 years warranty to Australians but their choice of paint coating sucks compared to Razer.
but have you actually had to deal with these products or just help promote scorptec?
a few of my friends bought into steelseries about 12 months ago (headphones and mice) and all of them have had to get them replaced.
then why do you give them away at your lan parties
This was before my friends had the issue (sorry should of said), I don't touch steelseries anymore for the above reason.
Yeh i'm a bit of a gaming gear freak so i have a ton of mouse including SS Raw Glossy Black, normal Sensei, gold/black limited edition and white Siberia V2. Not to mention other brands.
Definitely don't go around carrying their headsets in your bag if you're the type of guy who throws things in their bags with other things all bunched up.
Apart from that i've had a pretty good streak with their products.
However, their paint coatings on the sides of the mouse tend to peel easily if you
A) Have long nails. (My girlfriend wore it in 1 month)
B) Sweaty ass hands that equal McDonalds oil
I think their build quality is pretty good. I still have my Siberia from back when Icemat were making them (before Steelseries took over). Still using it now with no problems.
My brother has a SS Siberia V2 and he's had no problems with that either. Guess its just how you look after your stuff.
The mouse is good but the headset (like all "gaming" headsets) are not really up to scratch compared to quality headphones for the same price.
Used the headphone before (version 1) and totally happy for gaming purpose, music is quite ok.

I was after a mouse and a headset…but I bought a Logitech G500 about a fortnight ago. It's already broken. Really wish I waited for this deal. Currently in the process of getting it replaced for another weak G500 which will break soon.
Yeah the g500 is shocking, I've been through 4 of them through warranty. I now own the Sensei Raw and it is by far the best mouse I've owned
