25% Off Dr. Oetker Pizza (The Yummy One) All Types Now $5 (Save $1.99) at Woolworths

100

Guys, I found another beauty for us pizza lovers.

After my last post (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/100220) which was very popular I had a lot of comments how good Dr. Oetker is and actually wanted to try it out. So on my usual weekly shopping trip I came across 25% off Dr. Oetker Pizza all types and decided to give it a go due to the positive comments.

As my freezer is still bursting out of its seems (or rubber seals really) I could only buy 6 this time and my little 0.5 loves pepperoni flavour so we stacked up again (see photo) and bought as much as he could carry. So we went home and tried one out right away and stashed the rest in the freezer, without packaging which a clever ozbargainer recommended last time to maxmise the space.

The Select variety from the last post is good but really needed some extra toppings to make it work. However, the Dr. Oetker Pepperoni version has sufficient toppings and also tastes great so in my view it's actually better than the select and can compete with any fast food chain pizza no problems and probably some restaurant pizzas too. It's a winner. At least the pepperoni version.

I haven't tried the others flavours yet but the whole range is on special as per below. If you tried out the others, other than Peperoni then please let me know what you think.

Dr Oetker Ristorante Pizza Bolognese
Dr Oetker Ristorante Pizza Mozzarella
Dr Oetker Ristorante Pizza Pepperoni
Dr Oetker Ristorante Pizza Pollo

You can get it online or at your local woolworth store. All $5 and you save 2 bucks per pop.

Enjoy and Buon Appetito!

These regularly come on special for less than $5

  • Is my maths bad, or is $1.99 off not 25%?

    • +2

Seems to be about 28.5% off? My guess is Woolies' ads only have accuracy to nearest 5% (i.e., 25%, 30%, etc), as I've never seen any of their specials being anything other than 5% increments… Most likely rounded down so nobody complains that it's not 30% off (even though that's closer in this case.

      • Correct.

$3.99 at IGA (WA, possibly other states) till monday 29/4.
    link

    • Thanks, link not working, please check. Our nearest IGA is many many kilometers away, so $5 is as good as it got for us at the moment.

    • What the hell, it's priced differently according to state.

$4.99 for people in NSW, $3.99 elsewhere.

    • Link still works for me.

I direct linked to the product, but I guess it's cookie related. I can't edit the comment, but you should be able to check your own catalogs @

It's on the last page (12) of the WA catalog $3.99

The funghi (mushroom) one is the best. The spinach mozzarella one is not.

  • I love these pizzas thanks for the heads up!

$5 each is a bit expensive. They retail as low as $3.74 on occasions, and Woolworth's recently had Italian frozen pizzas for $2.49. The usual $6.99 asking price for Dr Oetker pizzas is silly.

  • Still annoyed they bought and killed papa giuseppe pizza :/

    • Mafia ?

    • Oh no, papa guiseppe were abominations. So disgusting.

  • I agree $7 is too much so I only bought it because it's on special. Looks like they are a german brand but I'm not sure where the pizzas are made as no packaging anymore but here is more info about the pizza http://www.oetker.com.au/frozen_pizza.php

The non meat vegetarian varieties are made in Germany, the newer meat range is Australian made. It's on the pizza box.

The spinach mozzarella one is the best. The funghi (mushroom) one is not.

lol, who should I trust- you or sparkles with conflicting opinions? :)

      • Trust jv. Go on, I dare you. LOL

  • Are these better than dominos?

    • +4

imo no. dominos as much as everyone seems to hate on it, i think is quite nice and reasonable for the price you pay!

this however is good when you just want a quick snack and dont want to head out/pay for delivery. also great when you have the munchies at 3am. this has the convenience factor :)

  • $1.99 off isn't much. they've been down to $3.50 at coles recently i thinks

  • +1 for the pic!

  • They also have a Hawaiian one. Love these pizzas. However I agree that $5 is not really a bargain. They are regularly on special for no more than $4.

  • +1

Mushroom (Funghi) one is the best - pretty sure they only sell them at Coles though?

    • +2

Originally it was a Coles only line, but now available at Woolworths

      • I saw that one at iga - wish I saw these recommendations first - I bought the ham and pineapple one!

    • Yes! Someone agrees with me. Mushroom FTW!

  • I bought about 8 of the pepperoni ones last sale. Still have 1 left, but I'm so sick of them now.

  • These are the best frozen pizzas but usually sell for $3.50 on special. My local Coles was actually selling them for $3 at one point. To be honest I wouldn't go out of my way for them for $5, I'd imagine they be back on sale again in a few weeks for half price, these things go in cycles. :)

  • no veggie options

    • Iga does mushroom, mozzarella, vegetable and a spinach one…
