DO NOT BUT FROM THESE GUYS I WAS THESE YESTERDAY AND THY WERE VERY RUDE TO ME AND OTHERS IN THE SHOP.

    • -3

Well did you challenge them to a duel? If not people are just going to keep being rude to you!

      • -6

There was a lady waiting before me when I got in and the guy was going to serve me and I said the lady was first. She said she has been waiting for 30 mins and the guy said "what do you want" so rudely to her, never a smile or thank you from the worker.

I wanted the HTC one for $685 it was $689 he said he can sell them anytime for that price and that he was paying over $700 per unit.
At least don't lie about it.

reading alot of your comments, do you have anything against Asian/Indian people….?

        • +8

so much hate at a specific racial group.

        • +9

maybe the whole situation wasn't improved by your view of the "asians" and "the worker"

        • Wow, that's horrible. How ignorant.

        • +1

So you wanted to buy the phone for $4 less than they were selling it for?
          Seriously???
Well that tell me everything i need to know about you as a person as well and therefore the credibility of your story doesn't hold much water IMO.

    • +6

ok i get it but please type in smallcaps and better spelling

    • Where is the rep? I want to see what their comments.

    • +7

We apologize if you have been treated that way, that was definitely not the way we normally treat our customers.

Please provide details of incident to [email protected] and we will get to the bottom of this and make sure things would be done.

        • +36

So you make a complaint, the rep apologises and says he will do something about it and you attack him for it? What would you prefer they do then?

All of the interactions I have had with Mobileciti have been very straightforward and professional.

        • +8

We have no reason to lie about anything especially to this Ozbargain community.
Our intention is to make every customer happy, if things didn't work out the way it suppose to be, lodge a complaint with us, that is how we improve our customer service with your help. Although we are not 100% satisfaction, however hopefully with your help, we can get there someday.

        • +12

Maybe it's you and not MobileCiti mate :)

        • +7

You just sound like a really rude person to me and I"m sorry to say this.

I called mobileciti in the past and have also purchased online a couple of the smartphones from them in the recent time, their customer service and response time is great.

There is no reason running around the forum barking, better sort your issue out with the rep outside this forum. I'm sure if a lot of us have had bad experience with Mobileciti, you will not be the only one making the complaint here.

Hats off to the rep being a gentleman…well, may be a lady!

        • Gotta agree with you I buy from them for work mulitiple times a month now, and have only had good experiences. Nothing amazing but nothing worse than any othe shop out there.

        • @scaredyet:
there is a fine line between your opinion and defamation, show us fellow OZBers the proof mate.

just so you know, sellers don't need to kowtow to you if you are trying to be a prick. obviously the rep here is trying to set things straight but you prefer to stir the pot aye?

    • Where is the store located?

      • 135 Church St, Parramatta

        • thought you guys had more than one stores around thats why i asked. hmm, I was there with a mate to buy a phone not long ago. (mobileciti) customer service is better than scene kids staff at JB hifi in the city lol.

        • Thanks, we only have 1 store.

    • +3

How do we know this even happened? I can easily make up a story just like that, I've dealt with these guys in the past and they seemed alright to me. Also comments like

"Do not buy anything from Harvey Ballsack they have Indian rude Managers"

make me think this guy has a personal issue going on

    • I've only dealt with them once before, through an online purchase of the HTC 8X, but it was a positive experience. Shipping was done ASAP and I received the phone in about a couple of days after my initial purchase.

No ideas about the shopfront itself, but if it was truly a poor experience then protest with your money and spend it elsewhere. There's no need to prevent others from buying from there though.

    • Many years ago I pickup a Samsung from them, no problem with their service.

    • +2

unless kogan giving free shipping, that 739 will become very close with this, but this one is local stock.

some people happy to pay more for local stock i dont know why but its true…

      • this also includes ~$70 gst… if you are travelling in the next 2 months you can claim it back

        • Is it 2 months now? I thought it was 1 month?

        • +1

It recently changed to 60 days.

        • +1

Yes, changed to 60 days, applied from 17 April 2013.

        • This would have been good to know last month! Going o/seas on June 1st and held off on buying stuff until May came around!

      • +2

its taken me about a week and a half just to get my phone SENT to be fixed under warranty from Kogan, i had to send them videos of the Issue… absolute stupidity. Now i have to wait and see if they get my phone and then wait till they replace/fix it…. I'll gladly pay a bit more for local stock next time!

        • Trust me, the warranty process through Samsung isn't much better!

        • I sent my S3 in to Samsung for the sudden death problem. It was painless. I called them up, they sent me a reply paid label, I dropped it off at the post office, waited a week or so, and got it back in the mail. No hassles, no dramas.

A few other friends got theirs picked up prepaid by a courier. Easy.

I've only had to use Samsung's local warranty once and it was great - no hassles, no problems.

In another instance, I dropped my note 2 and cracked the screen. I called up Samsung to get a quote for a screen replacement. It was $270, covered by my insurance, so I sent it in. A week or two later they said they can't get stock of the screen, so they'll just replace the phone with a brand-new one for the same $270. Done! I received a brand-new sealed phone which I then sold. Waiting for the black One now.

Local service can certainly be a good thing.

      • +4

With local stock you get a 2 year Samsung warranty and an AU charger. But with Kogan (and other grey importers) you only get a one year retailer warranty, which is not the best in terms of service and turnaround time. IMO paying upto ~10% more for local warranty is reasonable, hence I think this deal is better than the current Kogan deal.

      • yeah and that's not the 4g cheapest 4g is sthe one advertised here…

      • Not to mention that MobileCiti stock is Australian with 2 year Samsung warranty and Kogan is a HK import with 12 months Kogan warranty.
        Hardly comparable.

    • +2

The $739 one is the 3G Model
      4G is $769
      And they are grey imports

      • and u forgot to mention the 19 shipping, that's worst deal ever to get from kogan, grey import 2 weeks wait no local warranty and more expensive

  • -4

It's funny how HTC One is cheaper than S4.. I am sure this is going to reverse in near future..
HTC One has much better hardware than S4…S4 beats One only in some of the Software features which most of us might never use..

    • +4

Really? Apart from the case, which is pretty damn awesome in the HTC One, specs seem to be more in S4's favour.

      http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5313&idPhone2=…

    • Not really, Galaxy S4 has a slightly better hardware spec, the only expensive feature of the One X is its' Aluminium uni body case.

    • +2

I think the reviews are indicating the HTC one has more impressive 'real world' performance. However, Samsung has much better brand awareness than HTC (almost hitting iPhone levels!), which is a reason why I doubt the HTC One will ever be more expensive than the S4.

    • I think you're thinking of the S3 with 4G LTE, not the S4.

    • -5

you have no idea how sh1t htc firmware and hardware support is isn't it? I own all the pro /business version of htc phones for a good part of the decade and its nothing but useful.

      • +1

        wat?

      • +1

Did u just state a negative and end it by saying how good it is?? What the..,,

        • maybe it's the way i'm phrasing it.
          Here's for claficiation:
"there is nothing about HTC that says that HTC is useful."
firmware is crap, support is crap.

I was glad when there was a better alternate smartphone (to htc and blackberry) introduced, when apple and samsung came along.

in perspective, I would rather use a 1st Gen iPhone with the lowest spec than to put up with the sh1t with another HTC regardless of how latest and greatest gizmo it has.

TL;DR - my experience with htc over the last 10 years sucks;will never trust another htc again.

  • +1

any deal on the samsung n7105 OP? :)

  • Any idea when you'll get the black HTC One? Telstra-branded, even.

edit: whoops, the OP isn't a rep. OK, when the rep does show up, any idea?

  • +5

In case anyone is wondering.. I tried HTCONE001. Didn't work

    • feel the wrath of the samsungites … loll

      • Feel the hate of the iphonites.

    • +3

It's quite true, non-iPhone branded phones prices dropped frequently, while iPhone prices only drops after the new version is launched/announced.

      • and it has nothing to do with iPhones being better products.
That's the power of Apple. They create strict uniform pricing rules for their resellers…

        • +2

No that would be called price fixing and illegal,
They just sell the iphones to the resellers closer to the rrp thats all, there's not much of a markup and not much of a discount. Because of the super turnover of iphones and urge to buy accessories (proprietry lightning cable and such) its still lucrative.

        • I can verify this. Companies such as Telstra, Optus and Vodafone do not make much of a margin (if any) on selling the iPhone.

  • Hi Rep, any deals on SG3 4G 16GB White? Kogan has dropped it to 389 now!
    http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/samsung-galaxy-s3-4g-i9305-white…

So tempted to buy the HTC One online, however I just went to pick up the pre-ordered one I had from HN, and it had the build quality issues that seem all too common at the moment. With HN I was able to return it in the spot, don't get the same option online unfortunately :(

  • Don't get the Australian version of the Galaxy S4.

    • +4

If u don't get the Aussie version u don't get 4G. The octa core version doesn't run that much better any way and typical users will never notice the difference.

      • I'm referring to the firmware issues such as not being able to change the dock items. Honestly seems like Samsung hates Australia.

        • The speculation is that it has to do with an Apple lawsuit. The dock item thing only affects Australian roms, and there's no reason to disable it otherwise.

  • -3

Rep, nows your chance to redeem yourselves… Make the xperia z 500 bucks lol

  • today I went to the optus store to have alook at these 2, I knew I was gona like the s4 more than htc one but damn htc one is really nice quality phone now I don't know what to do, s4 is amazing too but I tred that air jesture thingy and meh I don't see my self using it really but I still like the 1.99 inch larger screen, but the htc attention to detail is just amazing and the camera on the htc takes the pics instantly like the iphone 5 where the s4 lags like half a sec, I thought by trying them out both its gona make my decision easier but it made it harder, and htc is 100 cheaper!!

    • The screen on the S4 is a mere .3 inches bigger.

  • +1

    Hi Rep,
Interested on HTC one, can you make it cheaper if I pick it up? :D

  • up voted, if I pick up can u make it cheaper, plz reply

    • -5

      Hi stricker5950

      Sorry, Same price for pickup.

      • Why?

        • Tax? lol

  • +1

    hi rep
Do i get a replacement instantly of HTC ONE if mine has the gap issue?

    • What GAP issue (got a picture/link) just wanna know if its a known defect?

    • If the rep could reply to this it would be more deciding as whether to order one or not.

    • +1

      Hi

You will get replacement instantly for any issue relate to manufacturer fault within DOA, inc if gap too big. (DOA for HTC is 14 Days)

  • Why is the HTC One (Unbranded) $689 cheaper than the HTC One (Optus) $729?

Both are unlocked with the same specs.

    Unbranded meaning grey import?

    • Because special on HTC One (Unbranded).

Both are same specs other than Optus firmware.

      Unbranded also 100% AU Stock.

  • ok rep do you at least have a demo unit in store? white color?

    • We don't have live demo unit, but if request we are happy to show you. :)

  • where's the black version ? :)

  • mediam in the title it says AU stock..

    • Thanks Striker, so why is unbranded cheaper than optus?

      • so that's why this is a deal?

      • +1

because these guys are selling it cheaper, everyone is putting their own price, Samsung is selling unbranded for $899, unbranded is obviously better coz it doesn't have all the bloat ware and the carrier logo on boot, its in original factory state the way it should be.

  • Im still waiting on a decent aus stock Note 2 deal but the HTC One is ever so tempting, the build quality look superb and much better than Samsung's cheap looking plastic. Does the HTC One have a removable battery?

    • Does the HTC One have a removable battery?

      Nope it doesn't.

  • I can tell u that the s4 is nowhere near cheap it actually feels very solid, but yes htc is a tad better so yeah I advice you to go have a look at both
edit: I haven't handled the white s4 but the black one, the back of it looks like aluminium finish, not plastic! and fingerprint magnet, I'm still waiting to handle the white one to decide

  • +1

    S4 is more feature rich
