Sony Bloggie Duo 1080p Camera $29.83 @ Target (marked at $149.88)

260

Hi all,

Saw this at Target and thought is was a good price for a Sony video camera. Seems to be blog/youtube centric, and also comes with 360 panorma lense and function. Here is the model:

The one I got was Violet (looks black, with a shade of purple). It was marked at $149.88 but scans at $29.83. Online prices seem to be around $90 or so (last deal here was for $88.00).

Not sure if this is in store only, or whether it's even nationwide. Mine was purchased at Edwardstown, South Australia.

There was also $30 Telstra sim kits for $15.00, which people may be interested in. Good for ipad/tablet fodder.

From what I've read in other threads, Target prices ending in $.83 means it's a clearance item and it's among all stores.

Got myself and the girlfriend two of the Ricoh waterproof cameras the other day :)

    • target is selling Ricoh waterproof cameras? How much?

      • $39, bought the last one at target fountain gate for my kid excursion.

        • $20 display no box

  • Were there any more at edwardstown?

    • No but there is one at Reynella, read my post near the bottom

  • Why you paid$30 for Telstra sim, aus post selling for$10 , you could save $20 more.

    • The $30 sim for $10 at Aus Post expired about a week ago.

      • will these -

        • work on other devices with a micro sim adapter?
        • allow credit to be transferable to other Telstra prepaids?

        thanx!

      • Auspost are currently selling $30 micro ipad sim kits for $10 as per the latest catalogue. Stock are hard to get though. Was mentioned on ozbargain.
Note the only registration option is 3gb iPad .

    • Why you pay for?

  • No more at Edwardstown I could see - could be more out back? Maybe ring. Didn't know about sim at Australia Post - I would have saved $10 (Paid $15 each). Kind of annoying, but oh well, activated now.

    • not at bankstown;

With the advent of HD phone cameras, these are pretty niche, somewhere between using your phone and having a compact video camera… Pretty small niche

    • Agreed, but good for kids or times you don't want to risk damaging a $500 phone (sport, adventure stuff etc.)

I picked up a bloggie last Friday for that price at Target bullcreek wa for my 7yr old to use at the zoo on the weekend. It is a very impressive standalone little video camera for the money. I seriously wished I grabbed the rest for stocking staffers for their cousins at Xmas. The video is much better than I expected and with the dual facing lcd screens she had no issue putting herself in the video.

  • Damn, none at my local Target.

  • Just thought i'd mention its 1080i only 30 frames at 1080.

  • Nice cheap FullHd dash cam :D

    • yeah, i started wearing one around my neck while riding my motorbike. it was ok but when on a bike you need a helmet mounted camera to see those idiots coming in from the side really good.

Motorbike rider calling others idiots? Ironic.

      • Nothing can replace a good head check

    • Not really. Too narrow field of view, no automatic start and stop, no automatic looping.

  • OK Melbourne is all out found the last 2 at 2 stores!

  • If anybody in Reynella SA wants one, get in quick because I convinced the girl to put one on hold (even though policy is not to hold clearance items). I ended up getting one at Marion anyway so there is one sitting in Reynella on hold under the name "OLIVIA".

    • Do you know if there's any left at Marion?

      • No I don't sorry

  • Why oh why does this not have expandable memory. Would have gone great with the Micro SD's on sale at Shopping Express
