All mine have been fine and are my favorite earphones.
My second pair's middle button seems to be stuck or something, the physical button you can still click but it starts and stops songs randomly like the inner button (physical to the switch) seems to be stuck.
Voice control seems to randomly self-activate on my iphone as well.
I love mine - maybe I got the good ones. A friend got M5 on my rec (they were on offer at the time) and they needed to burn in a long way, they sounded terrible out of the box.
Two colleagues have the R4 - I think thats what they are called, the dual driver bass ones - and they both love them. Good for bassheads I believe.
I'm not saying the other guys are wrong, but in a direct comparison between my CX150 and CX300 I prefer the M4. To my ear it has a much clearer signature, with brighter tops and less muddy bottoms than either of the Sennheisers.
I believe headphones are a lot to do with taste, and these work to my tastes very well.
To my ears, their bass is quite boomy and a just a touch muffled. The sound that comes out of it - its as if the singers are singing with a peg on their nose or something. Definitely different to the first pair of faulty M4s I had (they sounded like they had good trebles and mids, but sounded like they were being forced through a massive sponge). If anything, they need to fix up Quality Control.
I have a pair of CX300s on me that are guaranteed genuine - they sound a lot better in the treble and mids (MUCH higher clarity), can't comment on CX150s, never used them. Bass however, I will say they could do better, definitely clearer than the M4s though. - This is switching earphones right after M4s, since you notice the differences the most when you immediately switch audio products.

i have three pairs of earphones for daily use:
m4, a151 and sony's xba-2 (bought from dick smith last week)
only tried xba-2 for half an hour in total, so still need more time (but first impression is not that great for their rrp. of cos, i never pay rrp)
i compared m4 and a151 just on this monday (and xba-2)
m4 is not bad (another word, ordinary), but a151 is brilliant compared m4.
my 2c: dont waste money on m4. it is not even worth $32. pay double to get a pair of xba-2 (if u can find the stock). or pay similar amount of money, to get a pair of a151.
for sound I like the R1 to M4. but the M4 are more comfy and look prettier than R1.
shopping experience from mp4nation is exceptional from past experience. last month, when I contacted them about missing adapters over email. i got a fast reply and they even offers to send them to me free of charge.
Looked at getting a e17 but doesn't look like the free FedEx shipping is part of any of these deals?
Case is nice, but the M4s are quite ordinary, $32 is all they're worth, you're a lunatic if you pay their RRP.
MP4ation has quite good customer service, but it took some following up, since my first pair were faulty (2nd sounded different). One of the earpieces (housing) also fell apart without much force.
The second pair that was sent to were okay. To be honest, the Earpods from Apple have better clarity and SQ than these. (Not the old iBuds, the New Earpods, I wouldn't have ever thought I would praise Apple earphones but.. here I am)
Before anyone negs me - I have ATH-M50s, so it's not like I've only owned M4s and Apple earphnes..
