    4gb storage is too low

    • agree, but the price is alright.

  • HTC HD7 was available in the morning following post related link in JB

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/99961

I believe, again, tomorrow morning it will be available. Please check in tomorrow morning
it's windows phone with 16GB internal memory

      but the HD7 is WP7.5
      this one is WP8

He wasn't comparing the two phones. Just stating the fact that the phone might be available online tomorrow, judging from the precedent.

Any chance there was also the black and white colour of the phone? I really want one, but don't particularly like the green…

    • They often use the bright green as a promo image so there's a good chance there are more neutral colours available.

This is a great phone, but the storage is too low, and this should seriously be considered if you want a hassle free WP8 experience. I would personally suggest the Lumia 520 which is about $10-20 cheaper - very comparable specs but double internal storage and Nokia exclusive apps.

  • Any expansion slot for Win8 phone?

    • only for photos/music not apps

      • +2

It's a Windows phone you won't be getting to many apps, certainly not enough to fill 4 GBs

    • There is, but the OS takes up a good portion of the 4GB (probably 3.7GB due to the way storage is calculated). I would say around half is remaining, and of that a lot quickly goes in apps. Asphalt 7 is around 512MB alone, and if I'm not mistaken would need double that to install, though I'm not sure. You can install apps from the memory card, you just can't install them to the memory card. The Australian offline map for HERE Drive is 300MB too, so again, not left with much to spare.

Yes storage is a joke, how much did they really save putting 4GB instead of 8GB ?? you only get around 1.5GB after the phones OS and apps are actually quite big. You download a 10MB app but it installs and can take up 100's of MB. 4GB/1.5GB gets you around 5 Games and the essential 15 or so apps but that's the max and you need to delete MMS's and browser cache to make it work. 8GB on Win Phone is actually about right for all the apps you need.

You can add a micro sd but only for media (pic, music, video etc)

I'm guessing deliberate crippling to target price point and not cannibalise better spec phones for the higher market.

  • good price but this phone is for people don't install any apps as the 4gb storage only enough for the OS.

Only 512 MB RAM 4GB, long time ago COTD has the LG E900 1G RAM, 16GB Storage for about $145
I would say soon COTD might have the 920 for $145

    • +5

Lumia 920 for $145? You can't even get lumia 800 at this price.

      • -2

Do you see the word soon? How fast the price will drop for these near no market share phones? Let's check back in 2014

        • +1

ok..I looked back and check word "soon". But did you hear from anyone that COTD has ever sold lumia 800 at $145, leave 920 aside. I wish your prediction come true but its too good to be true…But im with you in 2014..:D

    • 512 MB RAM is enough for Windows Phone

      • +1

Not if you're playing games. Some games like 'Temple Run' are hidden from the Windows store if you only have 512mb. Check it here: http://www.theverge.com/2013/4/16/4226108/nokia-lumia-720-re…

        • +1

geez… so it won't even let you download it?

My Xperia Sola with 512 MB RAM is capable of running temple run smoothly

        • MS probably has stricter standards than Google and want to set a level of experience that won't lead to disappointment. It may run smoothly on your Sola, but it may not run well on other 512mb phones.

It's still a bit stupid though, considering there aren't many 512mb windows phones (Nokia 520, 620, 720 and the HTC 8s)

      • lots of apps won't even install

  • +1

A quick warning guys.. this phone does not have a front camera if you wished to skype on it etc.

  • If you are on Telstra Nokia Lumia 520 is better than this one.
