    HTC 8x not $269 any more :(

    • +2 votes

Still an absolute bargain at $299….

      •

agree, only say i missed last deal …

    •

      It's still a solid deal, but I'm after a Lumia 920…rep? :D

    • +1 vote

Are you goinv to flip tablr in rage because of $30 more than previous deal?

      • +12 votes

dont think the code will help with 4G in the US Question

        • +10 votes

Considering he edited the post after I replied, not sure why the neg's are justified, but alrighty then.

          It was something like:

It shows as $369 not $299.

          I won't bother next time ;)

        • +4 votes

          fair point, didnt know that

  • +1 vote

Torn between this or Note 2 (I know totally different phone and massive price difference) :(

    • +1 vote

I'd get this + a 10" tablet instead of an in the middle Note.

      • +3 votes

Sorry to be a bit OT, but I watch movies/tv shows on my commute into work so that's why the Note 2 would fit my needs and would rather not have to carry two devices around when hopefully one would do the trick!

Looks like I'm just trying to convince myself that I should wait and buy a Note 2 instead :P

        • +1 vote

Lol, well if that's the case, then a note would probably be the best bet, or an alternative phablet.

        •

I agree with you in opting for bigger phone rather than 'phone plus tablet'. I would especially want the tablet for travel and so I know I would feel frustrated not having GPS in it and not being able to make calls from it. (given the high cost of 3G tablets plus the cost of extra data plan.) Big phone seems to be the way to go.

So if you're considering these phones why not consider a heavily discounted Note 1??

        •

I would consider it although the thought hadn't crossed my mind before.

Only real reservation I have would be purchasing something fairly out of date and dont ever want to experience lag like I currently am on my 3 month old Xperia sola.

Oh and plus I'm now with vaya so wouldn't mind getting a 4g capable phone

        •

only negative is the note is so bloody huge to use as a phone(especially if you use your phone as a phone a lot - did i really just write that?), unless your into a wide handed grip

  • +1 vote

Hey guys, free shipping doesn't seem to come up.

Also, awesome deal - great to see you guys putting it up when people asked! :)

Edit: Nevermind - saw it during checkout!

is it possible to charge $300 for htc 8x? Need it for trs.

    • +4 votes

Haha….true ozbargainer!…just pay $1 extra for reps coffee.

    • +8 votes

For TRS? I am happy to increase price to $300 if you happy. :)

      •

nice, $1 to make $27.27 - true bargain

        • +2 votes

To clarify: $1 to make $26.27….you need to deduct your $1 cost :P

      •

yes please. how do I proceed to buy for $300?

        my calculation 300-(300/11) = 272.72
only $3.72 extra from your previous $269 sale.

        • +17 votes

if you happy to pay $300 please use this Coupon code: HTC8X300

        •

Can you make HTC code for $300 as well?

        • +5 votes

          @chacha
          its 60 days now. http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page4646.asp

          The key changes are:

Travellers can claim through the tourist refund scheme on purchases made up to 60 days before leaving Australia (under old regulations they had 30 days). This will apply to sales made on or after 17 April 2013.
Travellers can submit more than one tax invoice to make their claim, as long as each is a valid tax invoice from the one Australian Business Number retailer and the total value of goods purchased is $300 or more (including GST).

          @mobileciti
          it's showing as 299.99.

The last 8X deal missed the new 60-day rule by 7 days, and because of that I missed out on TRS by 5 days. Should I photoshop the date on the receipt? Does Custom ever check?

        • +1 vote

          try now "HTC8X300"

        • +1 vote

Thanks REP, but payment gate way time out :(

"Your order cannot be completed at this time as there is no payment methods available for it"

        •

They spent a good bit of time scrutinizing my receipt, I wouldn't "test the waters".

        •

          did you choose pickup option?

        •
