  • I have been waiting awhile for them to have a decent desktop bundle :(

I thought the Humble Bundle that included Bastion was the best, did you miss that or not think that bundle was decent?

      • Got a THQ bundle and Tripwire bundle

Hrm, I'm not that impressed with the inclusion of the Kickstarter stuff in this to force up the average - with something that doesn't even exist yet.

Well to buy the first 4 alone cost $30 right now on green man gaming vs. $8.34 BTA, so it's not too shabby. Then it is for charity after all.

    • Well don't buy it then? It's not like there's a cheaper way to get these games.

Seems pretty typical of double fine. They ahd that 'vote for the game you want made', personally I thought that was trollop.

  • Costume quest actually looks pretty damn fun… has anyone got any personal experience with it to comment?

    • +2

Yeah it's a fun little RPG with turn-based battle system. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Well worth the average price considering you get the other games as well.

      • I enjoyed it too! I really love those older turn-based RPGs.

    • Its more an experience rather than a challenge, I just wished it was longer as the battles while straightforward are actually a lot of fun.

    • Probably one of the best turn based RPG's i've ever played, I got 100% completion on the XBL version but i'll be buying this just for it!

  • All I want is the cave, I have everything else…

  • I'm thinking of just getting the $1 deal this time…is Brutal Legend good?

      Tim Schafer (yes it's awesome)
metascore is about 83 for those who like numbers with their game quality measurements.

    • It's decent. Gets a bit rough at the RTS parts and bland here and there.

Jack black is actually not too annoying for once. The intro is "WTF", but after that you're ok.

  • I +1'd this. Unfortunately I have everything except Stacking and the shirt so it's not for me.

Psychonauts is an absolute classic must-play game. When I ran through it however it was on PS2, and I'm not sure how the PC port handled it.

Brutal Legend has a cool atmosphere and is generally enjoyable, unfortunately let down by annoying/frustrating RTS levels. There is a specific strategy to them however, and once you get it, you can basically fly through these with speed and not have to dread being stuck in the next one.

    • PC version was updated recently. It seemed a bit slow (meaning not optimised much) but stable.

  • Beat the average keeps dropping, it appears people just want the $1 deal.

  • Got the other games but decided to grab Brutal Legend and donate the majority to charity.

  • FFFFF, already got psychonauts and stacking from gog sales…

guess I'll just gift them and keep costume quest & brutal legend for myself

    • +5

      Steam keys are:
      - Psychonauts, Stacking, and Costume Quest Steam Key
      - BrĂ¼tal Legend Steam Key

So unfortunately you can't gift like that with this bundle.

      • so brutal legend is a separate key ?
if that's the case I'll gift the rest and just keep brutal legend.

if not… then I have no idea what to do, maybe I'll just buy it as a gift and decide later if I want to redeem it for myself (can you do that ?) or actually gift it.

  • Cool, thanks OP - just paid $1 for three games I'll probably never find time to play :D

  • Cheers, first time getting one of these. Looking forward to getting on more of these bundles in the future.
