oh man i wanted this ages ago! Price seems very gd but I'm stuck with the current one i have = /

I'm typing on one as I speak. It's a good keyboard but lately it's flashing the :( face a lot even when I feed it with light, unable to type more. Makes me kinda want a conventional keyboard instead.

  • Does it have a backlight?

"A solar and light-powered keyboard that charges itself whenever there is light and stays charged for at least three months in total darkness.

It stays charged for 3 months but doesn't have a battery?

    • Still uses a flat button battery, but i've been using over a year now and it still at the 100% Mark. mind you the keyboard isn't placed in direct sunlight or direct access to a lamp.

  • I've been using mine on my Mac Pro for a while with no problems. I read the button batteries are hard to source though.

I'm using mine at work, in a office, non direct sunlight, just fluros and a window with indirect lighting. I can cover half the solar cells and it still gives me the smiley. Would recommend to a friend.

  • A decent deal (+1) but does anyone really think they are doing the environment favours by buying one?

    1) more energy-intensive parts in manufacture (solar cells plus a battery that will probably be disposed of along with the keyboard as it ages and can no longer hold suitable charge)
    2) more resource-intensive to manufacture
    3) more energy-intensive to assemble
    4) keyboards use so litle power as it is; it's laughable
    5) eventually when disposed of you'll be doing more harm than a regular wireless keyboard, let alone wired.

    Logitech says:
    http://www.logitech.com/en-au/product/k750-keyboard#section=…
"It almost feels like typing on your laptop, but more comfortable."

That isn't saying much, is it?
All desktoop keyboards I've used feel (far) better than laptops. Plus it's reflective gloss instead of matte. Anyway, enough rambling…

    • the difference with this and an ordinary keyboard is negligible; same old argument with the prius hybrids that has been disproved in studies.

first and foremost it's a wireless, full keyboard, and it's not marketed to be a gaming keyboard. It's flat profile is perfect for me to carry along in my backpack.

i pair this with the logitech wireless mouse that has 3 year lifespan, and I probably won't have to worry about batteries running out before the next laptop 'upgrade' like the ozbargain lenovo $700 cashback deal. ;)

fwiw, i use razer lycosa as a desktop keyboard. When i'm everywhere else, it's this little gem.

  • This is hands down the best keyboard ever. Mine is 2 years old, never plugged, never had problem never switch it off to save battery blablabla. Just like a wireless should be. Loved the thin height, loved the key weight and feel. I wish there is a wireless mouse like this

nearly perfect one, it will be the marathon mouse m705 which i use with this one.

      unifying concept rocks.

  • hey everyone i wouldn't recommend this wireles KB

purchased 2 and within 1 yr one of them died. tried to get replacement battery but it does not exist.
luckily was under warranty so logitech sent me a whole new kb.

after about 3 months the replacement one died with again battery issue. it might be user error since i wasn't the one using it. but still don't see how the user can cause the battery to die.

    • I hope you didn't throw the 2 keyboards away…. surely googling for a solution would've resulted in just a simple battery replacement.

do you live in the basement by any chance?

I have one too that had the battery die on me. It was not recharging so I thought my keyboard was dead.

I did a bit of research and it turns out all you need to do is replace the battery. Ordered a battery replacement easily from eBay (search ML2032), swapped it out and it was running perfectly fine again.

"The K750 keyboard comes with a rechargeable, replaceable ML2032 button-cell battery.
IMPORTANT: Do not replace the battery with a CR2032, which is the same size but not rechargeable."
