Do you realize that's a different case? It's neoprene, looks cheaper, is probably fake WD, looks smaller, and does not have an accessory pouch to store the USB cable in.

The Konichiwa one? If you don't mind the look, it should be fine. I'm not sure if there's a pocket for the usb cable though.

Ahh. My old case has an internal pocket. I always have to make sure I store the cable carefully, otherwise the metal plug can rub on the drive and scratch it.

Hmm I suppose that's one way to solve that problem. That said, I'd much rather have a case that keeps the cable separately, rather than having to remember to put a plastic cap on my usb cable every time I zip the case up.
So would I. You don't need to remember though, it can be strung to the cable by a loop of fishing line - just another click. The caps come with provision.
I have one of these cases. I just place the cable in the internal pocket with the USB plug ends facing towards the bottom of the pocket and have never had a problem with the cable scratching the hard drive case.

It's quite a nice soft case. There is no fastening for the outer pocket, but it should be adequate without your cable falling out in most circumstances. Adequate cushyness. Zip appears well-made and opens enough for you to put the device in, but not so much that it can fall out easily as a longer zip might let it if it were any longer and opened wider. Inner lining has printed caselogic.com motif.Should suit the task at hand well.
