Crunch Gym Parramatta [NSW] $5.95/Week and No Joining Fee (Save $99)

100

Happened to go past the yet to open Crunch Gym at Parramatta today and noticed their pre-openning special of $5.95/week and no joining fee. They don't have a lot of info about it on their website (like, next to none!) but looks like it is only for the Base membership. You could only use that club and would have to pay $5 extra per class.

May be good for someone just into cardio or weights without wanting to do classes. Normally the base membership is only $6.95/week (compared to their other clubs) so not a hugh saving, but no joining fee is nice. If you're into classes, you'd prob go for the Peak membership which is $10.95/week and includes all classes, and access to other clubs.

Looks like you can sign up online, but you would probably want to call or drop by to get more info.

Ends tomorrow. Not sure when club actually opens - looks like they're still working on it.

For those interested, the gym is due to open around June/July.

Also if you sign up on their early bird membership you can change your membership type from base to peak and vice versa and stay on the special rate, however a fee applies which I've been told is $5-$10.

just FYI, I am a member of Liverpool Crunch and am very happy with it. Best value for money gym I know

    • chatswood member here and I can vouch for that.
when they increased it to 6.95 they didnt force us to pay extra, we are still 5.95

a bit packed but if you go strategically it isnt too bad!

Do they have good mirrors? Are they accurate or are they slightly concave/convex?

oh please don't be that person.

  • Does anyone happen to know if they have free parking? All other locations have it listed in their info but Parra doesn't.

    • Not sure sorry, but Westfield's 3hr free parking isn't too far away.

No offence everyone, but has anyone seen the bad heads that go into these places..??? I went to the Rockdale one few weeks ago and let me tell ya it was BO zone "bad odour"

I can only imagine what parramatta will be like.

    Not a bargain IMO..

P.s mullets are apparently making a comeback too.

I should also clarify, I'm very happy with my gym "hotbodz" off taren point rd.

Triple the price but worth every penny..
There's no hero's, no grunters, or flexers walking around like refrigerators. Just respectful, friendly and helpful people who just focus on themselves.

Nothing worse than seeing a group of 10 blokes mucking around and hogging equpment while they flex after every set for an hour.. Argh!!!!!

      Hey, refrigerators are cool… ;-)

Crunch gym is overcrowded, specially in peak time. So much CO2, u won't even feel the aircon working…. you literally have to wait in queue for your turn on an equipment. Also so many blokes don't use sweat towels, disgusting. I don't blame the staff. But how do u control ppl doing exercise in paddy's market???

    • have gym policies? and actually enforce them

provide cleaning sprays and paper towels like every other gym?

      • They do have all required policies and announce every hour to use towels, but who cares? or who listens?
