If you want a high performance router and are going to spend this much, the AC standard (superceeds the N/G/B/A standards) is more or less out now. Spend a little bit more to future proof.

    • Dick live?! Nice…

  • model DGND3700 - it is actually an ADSL2+ modem router.

    not a 'bargain' price

  • I saw this but its $20-25 cheaper at several other places. Can't believe that they normally sell this for $239

Also no mention if this is the newer and more reliable v2 which is a must have if buying this modem. Most likely older v1 at that price.

There is a thread over on whirlpool on how to tell the difference between v1 & v2 DGND3700

CAREFUL BUYING THIS SORT OF DAILY DEALS FROM DICKSMITH. They may do daily deal like this & if it still does not sell, they put it on special for $20-30 cheaper. I hav been burnt with Nexus tablet

    • Get yourself a 28 degrees card with insurance mate, refunds the difference if the price goes down within 6 months.

    Well flock me!
I was in the market today for a new router/modem.
Did the google search and after seeing cnet reviews of the top 10 from May 2013 chose this exact model DGND3700 N600.
Cnet showed cheapest was from mwave for $129.
Called my local DSE to see if they had this and the chap said no and tried to sell me the $99 Netgear N300.
    SO
Went into my local OW, and after a bit of a haggle (mainly about pricematching and postage costs from Mwave etc etc)
Got them to match the $129 and beat it by 5% = $122.55

    And yes it's V2

    Happy chap.

    • Is it me or does Dicks always employ bad staff. I've been to a few DS store, they rather hang around talk about their life problems instead of giving me some service when i was looking for a laptop. So i left and got one at JB instead..

  • No Deal. $129 at both MWave and MSY

  • So as a Dual Band router is this any good? Worth getting?
Have had my eye on the Asus RT-N66U.

  • Why would anyone get this over a much faster AC router like the DIR-865L which can be had for around $110-115 after cashback?

Edit: I see from one of the comments, this is actually the DGND3700 so has an ADSL+ router built-in. Still, can be had cheaper any day of the week.
