Hi all,

This is what I just found, it's a company in Sydney. Which means that you can get a Logitech 2.1 Speaker for just $19 if you live around & pick the item up in their Chatswood store. Anyway, I spent $16 on shipping (to SA). It's still a good price though.

You can just drop into Apus, don't need to order with shipping.

And I mis-read on HB, it's just Apus.

    Still don't think it's a bargain. shrug

If you can pick it up, this is definitely very cheap only $19. For me, if i do delivery, it would be $11. Total is 30, still not too bad. Positive for me.

  • Good price. Pity they sound so crap.

      Beg to differ.

Bought these years ago, and for their low price they seriously deliver some top notch sound.
Deep, resonating bass, no whistling or crackling, good mid-tones and plays crystal clear even at high volumes.

For the everyday, average PC user you cannot go wrong with these. So easy to use and just damn good for such a low price.

    • Sorry, you are seriously mistaken. They are fantastic for their price, had them for about a year and a bit (got from ow melb city @$20!!!) - built with cheap materials and they don't compare to living room standards, but they have good drivers that give clear & balanced mids and highs. The sub is great - accurate and blends in nicely BUT doesn't have any of it's own controls/volume.

Fair enough guys. Each to their own. I tried a set that a friend owned and I just wasn't at all happy with them(and they weren't even mine).

But I spent a bit more and am happy anyway. :)

I think it depends on what you were testing them with (what kind of music etc)
I also agree - spend a bit more (I wish I could) and the next level setups are awesome.

I hate buying budget stuff and discovering that it's poor quality, but was really surprised at what they pack in such a small packet. The speakers will almost fill a medium large room, but are better suited to a bedroom or a small/medium study area.

Nah it's not the music your playing, it probably had something to do with your friend's dodgy onboard sound card (I'm assuming) or just lack of mixer/EAX tuning.

Hell I've tried these out on a 4 year old Acer with some onboard card I've never even heard of and they still sounded top-notch.

Not too bad, i've already picked up one of these before and they do a decent job for the price. Its pretty good since it has the wired remote which is always nice.
