Shopping for a new Ipod touch current series, i notice big w had the black 32GB on special $268 save $50 from $318

this is the cheapest advertised price ive seen.

Considering its local and not a grey import its pretty cheap.

Pickup only. All other colours are still $318.

    Do any stores have stock? I searched post code 3133 and most places were out of stock. A couple of places were low stock.

    Epping is the closest store showing stock.

        Fyi i own 3 ipads and a 4th gen ipod touch. IOS are good but ipod touch 5th gen is overpriced when you compare it with other phones or tablets within the price range and specs.

    Android phone owner here, would never go back to iPhone (since 3GS) but I like many of the iOS apps and Apple do make a decent music player.

    Which has the best sound quality from a decent set of headphones, the Samsung Galaxy S4 or iPhone 5? I assume the iPod 5 will be the same as the iPhone.

      Depends on both the headphones and encoding quality of the music files. In general: S4 has better music apps (like Poweramp) but you may need to buy for full functionality (eg: equaliser/tone). iPod 5 is basically on par with the S4 stock music player but has better compatibility on headphones with volume control.

      On my Tracks HD headphones, all three buttons work perfectly on my iPhone 3gs but on my S4 only the play/stop button works and nothing else.

        Its just Apple being all special and wanting to flog earphone manufacturers an additional price for brand name.

        Apple is the only company which wants to be "SPECIAL" because they have something stuck so far up their rear end that allows them to be special. Android and All other phones which predate the Apple iPhones use 1 standard for answer/play, volume up and down.

        Where as iPhones they just had to be special and switch the TRRS (Plug) formation and change the resistance values for the buttons so they cannot be used on other devices.

        That's how Apple as a company is no worse than Microsoft, at least Microsoft doesn't customize everything so that you are forced to buy overpriced Apple endorsed products. (And more recently, Apple stock prices are trending in the same way as Microsoft did before it fell….)

    They serve different purposes. Personally I don't think the ipod touch are worth it, but at the same time I understand why some buy them. :-)

    I'm tempted to buy this, but I already have a htc one and zune hd so would this be a waste? The only reason the way I see it is to use the apple appstore because I never had an iAnything.
