    what are the speeds of the verbatim USB 3 drives?

    On the site it says '10X faster data transfer speeds versus USB 2' which doesnt really specify the actual speeds

        I bought it last week, i plugged it in and started coping some movies to it, halfway through, it stopped working and disappeared from computer. so i took it out and replugged it but now it's corrupt. cant format or anything as it says disk is write protected so i won't recommend this usb

          I bought a 16GB USB3 from flingshot during their last sale and it had since died also, I don't even think it had 10 writes on it before crapping itself.

          What kind of warranty does flingshot offer?

      A few factors actually, we were running with the prices from the music sale 6 weeks ago. The system we used to bring the prices broke in the middle and we decided to just let the prices stay there until we got the new site live. We have also made some adjustments for shipping costs, plus a small adjustment for the AUD decline.

      So yeah unfortunately they are higher, but if there is something you are looking for specifically shoot us an email we can always do one off deals for OZB members.

      I have the Kingston Datatraveller 16GB. It's the best thing to have on your keyring if you want that style. Good Kingston brand, metal cover, super small. I've tried a few and the plastic ones break.

          It was not really a price increase, we just corrected an error.

          We also kept the 10GB Bonus RAM running which we had considered removing during the cash back, so still a pretty good deal.

    Hi,

    We are emailing to inform you that our most recent USB order has been delayed.
    We were expecting all orders to have shipped by the end of the week
    however they have unfortunately not arrived as planned.

    They are estimated to arrive on Thursday of next week and will begin
    shipping out immediately.

      So basically you were selling something you didnt have in stock?
      Ordered my USB(x2) on the 1/6/13 and then I got this email(above) on friday. I was fortunate to find that KMART was having the same sale: Verbatim 16G USB for $8. I needed it so I had to buy because waiting for my USB to arrive for another 2 weeks or more unfortunately was not my plan either. Disappointing!

        That is correct we were selling something we had ordered but the stock had not yet arrived. We do this with pretty much every single deal we post here because we have to place a large order to hit both the price and the expected demand. We don't usually keep this amount of USB keys in stock for obvious reasons. Most of the time these deals go perfectly and everything ships in a few days, sometimes it takes a week for the stock to arrive, again not ideal but also not something we make a habit of as you can see from our past deals. I am also pretty surprised kmart was selling a 16GB USB 3 Verbatim for $8, but stranger things have happened. We could probably post a bunch of disclaimers and warnings etc but our experience with the majority of the OZB community is they are fairly forgiving as long as everyone is kept informed of any issues or delays.

        They all shipped out today in any case so hopefully not a huge issue for most people waiting a few extra days. Given the drop in the dollar over the last few weeks this price is unlikely to be beaten for a little while now as well.

          I'm pretty sure the K-Mart usbs were 2.0, bit disappointed about the delay but at least I received a email informing me that there was a delay.
          Some other businesses would never tell you that there was an issue, unless you called them up and busted their balls for 20 minutes.
