Wow - 72 pages of hyperlinks and 4 pages of text

.. and the first link I clicked I got "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Merola Productions, LLC."

  • +7

Love your work WNK but this book is just …. shudders
the deal description alone can be a new Kindle e-book: "How to be a pro snake oil merchant"

  • +7

I'd stay away from any book about cancer that mentions 'cure'.

  • +8

This book is a joke and needs to be negged before people start diagnosing themselves with cancer(!?) then as an example, start using fever therapy, or smoking marijuana as a cancer treatment which…. increases your risk of real cancer.

Very dangerous info in the wrong hands.

    • +4

Agreed. This kind of thing is dangerous crackpot theory at best.

Sorry WNK, as noted we like your work but this kinda thing needs to be negged away.

  • +4

The Description above sounds like pure snake-oil.
Some of those things may be technically correct, but very misleading.

  • +5

This book has the latest research on anticancer foods.
A wonder spice that has been shown to reverse cancer, arthritis, and inflammation.

    Yeah, this is pseudoscience.

    • +3

      Yup. More reasons:

      The proof marijuana cures cancer.

Firstly, this research is in indications only phase. Secondly, no scientist worth their salt would use the word proof here, even if the evidence was significantly stronger than it is now. It's a word mathematicians and psuedo-science uses.

Listen to cancer survivors, hear what they took to cure there cancer.

Testimonials. Doctors and scientists don't use testimonials. Again, purely the purvey of scammers and pseudo-science.

Learn about guided Imagery and how it helps you cure your cancer.

It doesn't help cure your cancer, it helps you feel slightly better while undergoing chemotheraphy. The weasel words designed to make you think it's an actual part of the cure while technically covering their arses by using the word "helps" (which could be used with, say, panadol or the car that drives you to chemotherapy) are another clear sign of scammer/pseudo-science.

        "cure there cancer"???
Clearly a poorly edited book as well!

        • Hah, nice spot.

Another thing I noticed: book cover is a model wearing a lab coat and stethescope with a congo line of models wearing lab coats and stethescopes in the background.

Real books that are written on real topics don't use these "look how legitimate we are, a bunch of guys in scrubs and lab coats!" tactics.

    Absolute crap, and dangerous.

  • +1

    A wonder spice?

    bahahahhahaha

  • The first page of the preview has two mentions of the Bursynski Clinic:
    http://burzynskiscam.com/

    …which should put you off.

  • +1

Complete waste of time. Don't bother. Those have already bought it should add some negative comment with Amazon.

Yeah information like this needs to be negged so people can't see it, facepalm , you all have good intentions, but you're being ignorant

    • -2

feel free to come at me with a intelligent comeback, you know if you can…

disclaimer: you cant, i know :)

      • Come back to what?

You've said "you guys suck". You haven't actually made any points.

        • -1

          I see you're dyslexic…

          try to understand this….

          hiding information = bad

          showing information = good

        • +3

I think this is an argument about information vs misinformation

        • +1

It's not hiding information. It's not pushing spurious and unsubstantiated claims onto people usually not only incapable of using that information in an intelligent and productive manner but can also be very dangerous due to some people's incurable stupidity (such as Meryl Dorey).

        • The fact that there are 11 negs on this means it is hidden from view of most ozbargain users…..

        • Yeah, do you not get that we're saying they're providing false information?

        • do you not understand that there is no benefit in hiding false information between people that know this?

          facepalm

        • its exactly what is is, dont delude yourself into thinking otherwise betcause you have "good intentions"

        • So you're advocating misinformation labelled as information as a good thing?

        • I think Tal_Shiar is one of those guys that, you know, if you saw him in person, you wouldn't even bother … have been at the receiving end of his mindless crap before.

          smacks head

Apologize If I did something wrong. Marked as expired and requested for unpublish.

    • +2

You did nothing wrong - you're raising awareness of stuffs.

    • +4

Yes, nothing to apologise for. Comments apply to the product. Please do not unpublish.
Don't take it personally, we still love you.
I recently posted a deal, and was grateful to people who informed me the product was rubbish.

    • +1

WNK, your posts are pretty good. But ethics and social responsibility should always be kept 1st :)

  • +2

Can we please stop posting Kindle eBooks with only a few reviews? Ignoring the fact that the book is quackery, this should never of been posted as it is not a deal, given the fact that 2 reviews does not make something useful. A free eBook with 30+ reviews and good star rating would indicate potential quality, but the majority of these Kindle deals have a handful of reviews only (& they usually look like sock puppets anyway).
Well that's my opinion anyway -> formed after downloading too many eBooks, only to discover they are usually crap :-(

  • What do you call the guy who came last in his medicine course?

    Doctor.

PS. I love you too WNK.
