Toy ALDI Truck ($9.99 at ALDI. Toy Sale Starts Today, Wednesday 19th June 2013)

190

A toy ALDI truck to get the kids imagining driving the ALDI grocery truck to their local ALDI store. Add a Mercedes-Benz to the fleet. Vroom, vroom. Unusual if nothing else. Where else would you pick one up but…ALDI.

Heaps more toys (and apparently some unique food and beverage choices) on offer here

LOL. Can't tell if troll or serious.

      • Given OP is registered at 7.03PM and ALDI close at 5.00-5.30?, logic tells me it's "troll" ;)

        • Aldi closes at 8 so it's possible but unlikely given the comment was 10 minutes after the op..

i live 9 mins from the closest ALDI so managed to duck down and snavel them before they were all OZB'ed

        • You got in+out of an aldi and posted a comment in 1 minute? Impressive

        • In fact, I have that there' interwebs on my portable communication device

    • Fine choice of Benz, sir.

    Toy ALDI truck $9.99

So what's the saving from the normal price of the ALDI Truck ?

    • +1

      No idea.

I've never even seen it on sale before.
Trucks are rarely offered at ALDI anyway, and if they were, these sales come & go quickly. There is no persistent stock all-year.

Posted purely because I thought it was quite unique and cool, and probably not available elsehwere.
Also makes a good headline for those chasing other Special Buys from Aldi this week.

Plus I figured some OzBargainers would want a discount on their Benz
      ;-)

I've never even seen it on sale before.

So why is it a bargain then ?

        • +2

Because it provides entertainment for $10 and I can't find a cheaper price on the identical item elsewhere, and it's clear some people find value in the post.

I can't find a cheaper price on the identical item elsewhere

This is the most expensive ALDI toy truck that I can find…

This is the most expensive ALDI toy truck that I can find…

Glass half empty kind of guy, eh?
          Too bad for you.

Others may think it's the cheapest Benz they can find, and a unique Benz that won't be selling all year.
          Cheers.

      • and probably not available elsehwere.

I asked in Coles and they said they don't sell ALDI trucks :-(

There is no saving, it's RRP. = bargain.

  • Scale size 1:64. Honey can I shrink the kids?

Actually just picked one up. Canterbury Aldi opened until 8:30pm. Checkout chick and customers behind chastised me for buying. Apparently the manager bought some for the staff which they weren't happy about. My daughter loved it however.

    • Chastised you? How?

      • Either he doesn't know what chastised means, or we're missing part of the story

        • +2

          Maybe he meant chafed?

I'd like to be chafed by the checkout chick..

No thanks, i'm still holding out for the authentic ALDI Checkout toy.

Seems like their idea is to brainwash the kids to shop at Aldi. Smart thinking :D

    • There is definitely an element of "McDonald's happy meal toy" to it, no question about it.

Of course well-adjusted kids will know home-grown food is best and no supermarket will offer that :)

  • Sold out in Queensland. Managed to get the last 5000.

I saw it yesterday, the truck was really small, nothing special to me! I bought the wooden high tea set and the xylophone instead.

Marshmallow Fluff! $2.99…. I do like a good Fluff.

We (the missus) brought a number of the wooden toys from there yesterday. Quite impressed by the quality actually.

EDIT: Along with the truck. My 18 m/o son is Car, Bike and Truck obsessed.
