Coles are running a decent 10c/litre discount on purchases of $50 or more for 4 days.

Also if you are a flybuys member they have bigger discounts for purchases of $90/$100/$110 where you can save about 14c to 16c per litre. Spend $90 save 14c/L, spend $100 save 15c/L, spend $110 save 16c/l. You have to activate the offer which you should of got via an email.
I got a coupon tonight for 26c/l saving after I used 1000 flybuys for an extra 10c/l discount. :)

    • I actually signed for that also.. But there is a bonus for flybuys members when they spend (i think) $90/$100/$110 dollars.
With this coupon I will get about $30/l discount which I will use to fill both my cars :)

damn, $30/L discount, that's insane. fill my car and keep the change

        • oosp I meant 30c/l discount >.<

        • no wonder the price of petrol is so sh*t nowadays

      • can you combine the two vouchers?

        • Yes. the flybys for 100 points does not actually give you a voucher. It just adds 10c on top of the next voucher you get from Coles. i.e. if you were going to get a 4c voucher it would make it 14c and so on..

      • The 90/100/110 deal sounds like a flybuys targeted offer rather than part of the general offer. The targets change from person to person. I got a 12 cent per litre voucher for spending $50.

  • Wish Woollies would up their discount.

    • +11

I wish they would always offer cheaper petrol, without need for dockets or cards

    • +5

Wish they would get RID of these stupid "Discounts" and just give us cheaper petrol
      edit: ***SNAP ***

    • Wouldn't be surprised if they have another 15c promo from tomorrow given this coles offer and the fact they often start them on Fridays hmm..

  • +2

Stack the 20c discount with a 10c discount Flybuys redemption (1,000 points) and get 30c disc off fuel. Just make sure you wait 24 hours for the redemption to come through.

    • +1

Only if you are getting more than 50L fuel though, as 1000 points=$5 (2000pts=10 flybuys dollars)

      • +1

Was going to say that. It's not worth it for anyone with less than 50 litre tank. For me, swapping 1000 points (worth $5) for a $4 discount over 40 litres is not a good option at all.

  • +4

it cost 1000 points to get the extra 10c discount on fuel from flybuy.
Doesn't that usually equals to $5?!? correct me if i'm wrong!
So the get the same value it'll need to out in at least 50litres of fuel.

    • +1

Yes correct. However I normally get about 120 L of fuel/gas (2 cars @ 60l each) which makes the 10c/l much better than the $5 voucher

      • Cardz, do you do 2 cars at a time at 2 different pumps and tell the servo that you're paying for 2 pumps? I still haven't tried that.

        • one pump, a car on either side. No need to complicate things :-)

        • +2

Yes.. One of my cars is gas. So I fill one with Gas and the other with petrol (one after each other). My Mrs drives in with me and then I walk in the shop and say 'I am paying for pumps 4 & 7' (or whatever) there has never been any issues with this. I have done it at least 1/2 a dozen times at different service stations.

Although once they said it was fine because I used gas and petrol. If I used petrol and petrol they would not have allowed it. Pretty sure I did 2 petrol and gas a couple of times though for 2 cars

        • I always do that. Was just wondering what Cardz does.

        • i've done diesel and petrol before, different bowsers no hassles

        • -3

How do you drive two cars to the service station at the same time?

        • Already answered that.. basically I dont!

        • i'm impressed that you are able to synchronise your two cars to be empty at the same time..

  • Coles, please bring back the 8cents discount on transaction of $30 or more.
They run this in the beginning of the year until end of April.
    Missed it already.

    • +2

It actually ran from October last year to April

Also a tip… if you are stocking up on gift cards due to the ING Paywave promotion coming to an and, buy them at Coles and get the 10c off per litre voucher.

The T&C does say excludes gift cards, but I purchased $50 of gift cards today at lunch and I got the voucher no problem.

    • How'd you do that? I tried that today and it didn't spit out the vouchers.

Which type of coles giftcards did you get?

      • Sorry should have said it was bunnings gift cards

  • I also wish petrol prices would come down from 150c/L that it's been sitting on for a while. Don't like driving with the low fuel light that just switched on.

    • Its not coming down.. With the Aussie dollar falling to under 93c US today - it will be going above 150c/L later this/next week!!

      • agree… its probably part of the reason for this promotion..

        • Damn okay… atleast I still have the 5% ING promo = 142.5c/L

  • +1

Aussie dollar? They always use that excuse when the Aussie dollar falls, but when it rises….how much of the savings is passed onto the consumer?

    • +1

Exactly when Aus dollar was high petrol didn't get much cheaper. In theory it should be around 1.10, never seen it happened…

  • +1

Funny how from last night I've seen Coles starting to put the price up to around 150c/L while the others are still at 139.9/L. I pass 4 Coles and about 5 others to/from work.

    • This is what happens when people don't support the local/independent stores. You save in the short term but pay more in the long term.

    • still recall the week where petrol was 1.20+ around and within 24 hours jumped to 1.50, thats more than 20 cents increase within a day and when the price falls it never spike downwards.

syndicates… you gotta love how they do business

  • Got an email from woolworths todays offerring
200bonus points for spending $50+ this weekend.
That must be their matching deal to coles' 10c deal

  • -6

They put the petrol up 20 cents today was it just by chance not.

    • +1

You know the voucher is valid for one month, not one day?

    • This is just what Kogan does with sales, not a deal imo why should Coles be exempt?

    • +2

It seems everywhere the fuel went up. Not just Coles.
Actually in WA coles is one of the cheapest. (3 are equal cheap 2 are Coles)

      http://www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au/fuelwatch/pages/home.jspx?rvn…

Besides everyone who buys petrol has the pay the increase of price - not just the people taking advantage of this offer so your reason for negative does not make sense.
