I needed a new printer and I found this deal. Even better I could pick it up, so no postage. Prints great. Looks good.
Don't know how I put up with an inkjet for so long.

Definitely a good deal if you can pick up
BEWARE: This model and a few of the other cheap Samsung models (I'm sure other brands do this too) only use 1500 sheet toner but their toner carts cost the same as the 3000 sheet toners of the slightly more expensive models. You're getting a good deal on a cheap laser printer but your cost per page is twice that of other models (like the 1710 for example).
Do your research before falling for these printers sold using the razor blade sales model (which most are, but some are worse than others).
EDIT: I should say, if you are printing low volume Samsung printers are top notch. Even at high volumes they perform well, we've put about 30,000 sheets through our 1710 and it's still going strong.
big deal if the toner cartridges are expensive.
look at the price of the whole unit as such and you will see that it probably would be cheaper to throw the printer out once the toner is empty instead of replacing it.
but then, i suppose, thats the case with most cheap printers.
generally its the cheaper the printer the dearer the cartridges / toners to replace. :)
I personally go with Epsons for printing solutions but this thing has gotten some good reviews.

I've had one of these for about six months and I can't fault it. Generic cartridges are available on eBay and the printer has a toner save feature. They're small, quick and cheap.
Very cheap. I haven't had a great experience with Samsung for printers but it looks similar to the Brother ML-2140 in specs.
