    • +2 votes

I think you can charge 2 batteries or 4 batteries at a time.

    • +2 votes

You can only charge batteries in pairs, i.e. 2 or 4 at a time.

Does anyone know if this charger will charge Sanyo Eneloop batteris?

    • +1 vote

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. I bought it to charge my Eneloop as well

    • +2 votes

Yes it does, been using it for a month or so now. It has a charge LED which will let you know when the charging is complete. At this price it's a great bargain.

  • +6 votes

I may be wrong (and I hope I am as I already ordered one!), but no where does it say that batteries are included ? It just says that it 'charges 4 batteries at one time' and 'supports AA and AAA batteries' but no where it says 'batteries included' ! The picture seems to suggest it though.

  • -1 vote

    It clearly says battery include!

    • +1 vote

      where?

      • +1 vote

On the picture that OP posted haha!

        •

ha ha! does it stated at COTD's page? LOL.

        •

It's no in the 'Product Specs' page with words.

There is the image of the two battery packs

  •

price comes up as $5.99 and states it is for charger?
Home - DEAL 1: Duracell All-in-One Battery Charger - Duracell All-in-One Battery Charger

  •

I can see pics of batteries but I can't see where it says it includes any. To make it more confusing it shows a pic of the charger sealed containing batteries and another pic of batteries in their own packages.
    $5.99 + $5.99 P&H = $11.98

    • +6 votes

Hmm, so is the battery included or not?

Looks like that is the "catch" of the day lol

      • +2 votes

I think we will have to wait until we get the delivery to find that out:)

        • +2 votes

That should just be before Xmas

  •

Thanks OP - happy with that price to charge my Eneloops :D

      Think Green.

      •

Think that when u need to use all those batteries in 2 years time, most of them will be drained

  • +1 vote

Catch has updated the picture and taken away where it says includes 2x AA & 2x AAA
It seems like this is just the charger guys :(

    •

Yep the batteries deal is next week.

      Edit

Just asked the question and got this response
      "Hey Christopher,

      Thanks for your message.

Batteries are included with this deal - apologies for the confusion caused!

      Thanks

      Mitchell"

      •

Alexnho is saying he got a complete opposite answer.. See below..

I hope someone did take a snapshot of the web-page when it was online. Please share, so the one's that bought it can prove it, and start the discussions with them.
Ohhh C.O.D. you've done it again.

  •

I too have eneloops but no charger as yet - would I be better off getting an eneloop charger or this would be just as good?

    • +1 vote

This will work but you would be better off getting a better quality charger. Like the ones people post from Amazon - Crosse.

The main difference is a good quality charger actually reads the charge in the battery and once almost full they only trickle charge until full.
Cheap chargers like this tend to overcharge the batteries and reduce the life of them.

  • +1 vote

If you want to fk up your eneloops yes go for this charger lol

Buy a quality charger and your batteries will outlast the device you use them in.

    •

Why will this not work with Eneloops ?
I was buying it for the Eneloops looking at the comments above.

      Can you please explain.

      • +4 votes

        It will charge eneloops.

He probably means that this charger doesn't have individual cell charge control (things have to be charged in pairs). Which may result in overcharging or undercharging the battery, which at worst could reduce the life of the batteries.

In other words, it could be a "cheap and nasty" charger. If it were up to me, I'd consider getting the eneloop charger off Amazon, with 4x AA eneloop cells, for about $20 (excluding delivery). It also charges in pairs but you should be able to get hundreds of charges, regardless - especially if the batteries are used together and/or equally discharged. It's world voltage capable, so all you need is a US-to-AU adaptor available for 50 cents off ebay.

Advantage: eneloops are "low self discharge" and proven quality. You can leave them charged for a long time before they lose substantial capacity, unlike old Ni-MH rechargeable technology which would lose a lot of capacity if left as standby batteries for emergencies, for example. Or when used in things such as remotes and calculators and other low-drain devices.

Plus eneloop quality is cheap enough and the bundled eneloop charger isn't too bad if on a budget. You can always do better if you pay more, but to me it's the most recommended way for the common man to get into rechargeables without dicking around with more expensive gear. I wouldn't place much faith in these Duracell rechargeables (or this vendor), but then again, I'm sure there are SOME people using them that like them.

Hey rep how many months is delivery?

        •

          Months.. lol.

      •

        REP

You can look at the replies posted above, somebody in your company obviously thinks that this comes without the batteries,

        Only time will tell.

        Till then watch this space.

  •

I ordered one of these so that I always have a set of charged batteries to go into my T.V. remotes. Does it damage that batteries if I just leave them plugged in until I need them?

  • +4 votes

I ordered an hour ago. The suspense and excitement of whether I will or won't get batteries has kept me on the edge of my seat. I feel like I've got my 12 bucks worth in entertainment value alone! Good to know common sense prevails.

    •

I feel the same, just cancelled my cancellation request on the COTD website. Quite fun today!:-)

  •

Batteries are included. Cheering. You guys had me worried.

  •

God damn that site is useless.. i dont want to enter a email.. i want to browse the site and buy something.. why cant i click it off on my tablet?
pc didnt let me in untill i put a email in..
rep you have lost a sale here.

  •

    are the batteries lsd?

  • +2 votes

    Guys…..

Is this such a great deal?

    $12 for a 4 batteries when its $21 for 8 Eneloops.

The charger is nothing special, just a stock standard charger.

Perhaps its because I have a LaCrosse and the battery charger is of no use.

  •

I still don't get it. Please rub my nose in it. Both the OP and the Rep provided links that lead to a charger with several pictures of batteries and a price of $5.99. The Rep assures us the batteries are included. So why does the title continue showing $11.98?

    • +4 votes

proceed with checkout and you will know it yourself

  •

from the image the AA is only 1700mAH.
I had a Duracell charger before only lasted 2 years while other one a EverReady still working after 4 years.

  •

Now I just need to find another AAA 2/4 pack cheap for my battery heating BT mouse.

    cheers,

  •

received my parcel today.. it has batteries as promised.. happy with the deal.. thanks OP & REP

  •

As my first rechargeable batteries, I'm pretty happy with the set. Seems they're now 9.98 delivered on COTD, even cheaper than the original deal. Almost tempted to grab another, just for the extra batteries.

  •

    I still haven't received mine,
    Will file a refund request

It's been a bloody long while.
