PS3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller, $44 JB HI-FI

460

JB HI-FI's website says they are selling the ps3 controller for $54, but purchased it for $44. Beats eb games who are selling it for $47.

Believe it's only black, red and blue. May not include the limited addition ones. (There were none left in the store when I went in)
Cheapest in store price I have seen it for a long time.

  • Wireless!!

  • There is a big stand in the Bourne st Melbourne store, no prices on the pack, but signage for $44 price smashed , looks like only a couple red and blue controllers, lots of black

  • Ive found the $15 goigame ones from fasttech to be good, even supports sixaxis

    • Generally I find 3rd party controllers to be good as well but it's generally the contacts on the controllers that let them down i.e. becomming worn and no longer contacting.

    Still not so cheap. :S

  • Also same price at Mighty Ape (+$4.90 shipping): Black and Red only.

        fixed url: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181169…
The seller claims they're original, he/she claims it's in Australia, has 99.8% positive feedback, even offers a 7-day return and IMO they look original in the photos. I would bet they are original.

        • How much stock does this guy have? Doesn't look like he has much to neg over

        • 99.8% chance this is fake

        • The seller claims they're original

Where? As far as I could see, the seller does not claim it is original or genuine anywhere in the description.

I've bought 'official' ps2 controllers off Ebay and they were terrible.

I recently bought two of the Slate Grey controllers from EB. Definitely worth the extra $3 on nostalgia alone

  • I went to my local JB after work. They had black, red, blue, slate grey and… another grey (not sure of the actual name) - they were all $44 :)

    • metallic gray? that's the newest one.

      • Yes that's it - metallic. I liked that one the most actually, but I bought a red one for my daughter.

  • I was going to grab one and then I thought I'd wait and buy a 12GB PS3 pack next time the price drops. With the last sale having it at $178 including a game (and of course a controller), I think that's a better way of grabbing another controller if you could make use of a second console in another room. I guess if you have Playstation Plus you can do could saves and continue games from the second room when needed.

    • As ridiculous as this sounds - it is not that crazy. The cost of controllers has been a ripoff throughout the history of the PS3 - $90 for most of the life of the console.

Now that the console is down to $180 - the controllers should be around $35. This is still too high in my opinion.

  • I grabbed a blue one, $45inc shipping. Been after a second controller for awhile, bought cheaper versions in the past (so not worth it). $90 was always too much for me, $45 seems reasonable, haven't ever seen it lower than this.

  • This is in JB's latest catalogue ($44) starts Thursday officially - good price!
Red, Blue, Black & Camo, from the catalogue pic.
