  • I've looked on the app and its not there. Do you mean the monthly catalogue that comes in the junk mail?

  • It gives the option to send the voucher to a friend on the link you gave, so i'd say theres a good chance of just being able to print it out and use it.

  • typically they have copies of their catalogues outside the shops. I just grab one and walk on in.

I felt like a real heel buying three packs of coffee pods and not paying anything when they had this deal at all Good Guys in Brisbane.

  • It says on the voucher "Original voucher" only…

  • This isn't going to end well for Good Guys. Why don't marketing people think this stuff through? Is it because marketing lectures are teaching based in a time for the Internet?

Discount vouchers are usually a scam.
Makes sure you don't mention to the salesperson you have a discount voucher until you go to pay.
I used to work for another Good Guys and whenever there was a promotion with vouchers we were told to ask if the customer has a voucher before they negotiated the price.

So if it is a $20 voucher you just add $20 to the lowest price you would have given them.
It works like this - eg hard drive for $150
    - customer without voucher - you discount the price to $110
    - customer with voucher - you discount the price to $130

Staff were directed to do this by the store owner and manager. I'm sure it happens at plenty of other stores too.

It's just one of many fake sales the big retailers have. I could write a whole page on the tricks the big retailers use.
Lot's of things influence what the salesperson will sell you and it's not for your benefit.
    A few are -
    - what bonuses are on offer by manufacturers. Staff get money or vouchers to help clear a particular product.
    - The salesperson likes a particular company - if you sell a lot of a companies product the sales rep will be a lot more helpful getting you a staff discount.
    - The salesperson doesn't like a sales rep. If you hate the sales rep you won't sell his products.
    - If it is in stock or not - staff want to reach targets and get commission. So you push the customer to buy whatever product you have in stock.

  • What are the conditions/exclusions ? It's a bit hard to read on the SmartSaver website or print out, I can just make out iTunes and Hoover.

Also, a print out from the SmartSaver website should be acceptable, otherwise why would GG bother listing it there. Better still, just show them your smart phone open on the deal http://smartsaver.com.au/?p=74529
    to save pulping a tree.

    2 stores = 2 xmas pressies sorted.

  • Perfect time for that Microsoft hardware cashback 5/7 being the last day

  • Can anyone confirm that the vouchers are in the WA catalogue? (sorry just seen the specific store only part)

  • GG are trying to disallow printouts, saying original newspaper vouchers only accepted. I said why list it on the website as well as the newspaper and the printout is original and not q photocopy."Bought" $19 headphones and $18 wireless mouse.
