Visit ME Bank Workplace Banking Manager at Casselden Place (2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne , VIC, 3000) at the lobby towards the back of the building, there is a little cubical set up next to their ATM.

The deal is to open up an EveryDay Transaction account at Casselden place with Lida, get your salary credited to your account and ME Bank will give you $50. Plus if you refer someone (as many times as you like), you will get $25, for every person. Sign up by 3rd October 2013. But the workplace manager said she is going to be there permanently.

Lida (banking manager) said she is the one authorising the $50, so as long there is 'movement' it's ok - despite the fine print, essentially they just don't want people to just signup, get the $50 and cancel.

    any issue with opening an account for yourself, then referring an account for the wife, each kid etc ?

      Fine print doesn't say you can't. "The Referrer and Referee must identify each party to the Workplace manager to ensure eligibility and crediting of the bonus" Plus your wife, kid etc will get the $50 too. and you'll get get $50 + $25 + $25 = $100 (wife and kid)…

    Good deal for those in Melb. But I am not happy with ME.
    Applied for the online savings account in January. It never was linked to my EveryDay Transaction Account so lost the bonus interest, until I complained.
    Sent them a complaint today, as they have been charging withholding tax on that account, despite informing them of my tax exemption when I opened account. Can't change this online.
    So have had hundreds withheld plus lost interest after they stuffed up the establishment of the online Savings account. They state it will be at least a week before they get around to my message!!

    So, if I open an account(get the $50) and refer my wife(so that I can get another $25), does it mean that my wife also gets her $50 when she opens hers?
