    A 1200w shop vac will annihilate the average 2400w home vac.
    We use a cheap one as a house vac and it easily equals the expensive professional Electrolux one work bought for nine times the price.

        I bought one last week when they were $24 ish delivered, as a spare for our 2 year old one (still sucks as hard now as when new but for that price….), the only thing that tends to be a bit dodgy on the cheap shop vac's is the head and rigid pipes, we just fitted the one of our old home vac to the hose.
        So the answer is hopefully yes as ours hasn't arrived yet :)
