Got this camera last time around and it works great. Just be aware that it's an autofocussing model so if you need manual focus look elsewhere. I never thought I'd need manual focus until I was trying to use a barcode reading program so you never know!
Agreed - it just will not focus on something as close as a barcode needs to be. Works fine on a page of a book or an A4 sheet however.

Got one of these last time around, they are well worth it. On par with any cam you'd pay $40-50 at Big W et al. So you're saving at least $20-30 dollars when you include postage.
How fast did they post the item out? I've read that COTD have extremely poor service and postage takes ages?
They posted it about 2 or 3 days after I bought the webcam, which has been the fastest I've ever had from them. Generally it's been about 1.5 to 2 weeks after ordering for other items.

This is the 3rd time in a month I've seen this on COTD.
And I hope it comes back again. I got home tonight and my wife mentioned that she would like a webcam to talk to her cousin in Japan on Skype!! Argh!! Please bring it back COTD!
I'm surprised they didn't jack the price up when they realised how popular they are. They've been known to do that, ie the 6 way surge protector which I bought in December from COTD for $25 and has kept re-appearing ever since then, again at $25, then $29.95 and then finally $39.95 the other day.
