Hi folks, it's Multiple Madness time at brentsbits.com.au. Have a look below for the deals. The amounts and the price are specified below. Any questions, give me a holler:

1M M-M Audio Extension Cable - 3 for $5
1M M-F Audio Extension Cable - 3 for $5
1M 30pin (old style) iPhone Cable - 4 for $3
iPad Mini Screen Protectors - 5 for $6

There are my normal cheap prices available on other stuff but those are the specials for this weekend. The deal will run until Sunday midnight, or whenever I remember to stop running it after that (usually occurs to me about 4am!).

Only available at brentsbits.com.au, not on my eBay store. You can checkout as a guest if you want but feel free to sign up to my (non-spammy) newsletter. Haven't sent one out yet but from time to time I will run overstock specials when I have ordered too much of something :-)

Have a great weekend, mine is likely to be taken up packing all your orders :-)

EDIT: As always, order as many as you want, no limitations on orders per customer, first in best dressed. There's a reasonable amount of everything available.

    • The deals are what they are, if I haven't discounted something it's just the normal price, which is a pretty decent price anyway :-)

Your plan works on ReSublimity but doesn't work on nj8842.

        • I don't know what you mean…..

EDIT: oh wait, I get it now

    • Having said that though, it's not to say I won't offer deals on those screen protectors in the future, just not with this lot of deals.

    Hey Brent

Strange things in your new website.

The main product images don't appear in IE8 - the whole area is blank. Clicking the magnifier makes a popup open OK, but it's got some coding error on the zoomy moving layer thingy.

Of course, not many people use IE8, but something you need to consider (check yoru server logs, see if it's a significant % of visitors. Coz any of them won't see your stuff.

Also, on the landing page https://www.brentsbits.com.au/

    a) The window title needs to be upgraded from "Ecommerce, On-Line Shopping" to Brents Bits

    b) The main icon for "USB Peripherals" is wrong (Dual car charge

    a) I dunno why you don't mention postage anywhere. It's painful! Do I really need to add items to cart and then try to check out just to find out what you charge for shipping? Couldn't you make it a bit easier?

Oh bugger - just tried to update my shopping cart and the whole site has crashed.

YEP - SITE / SERVER HAS DEFINITELY CRASHED.

      Won't even connect.

EDIT 8.09pm - OK, IT IS BACK ONLINE AGAIN NOW :-)

    • Yikes, thanks for the pointers, email going to my developer now.

I neglected to put in that it's free shipping in the post, I will update that now. For the moment, all my stuff will be free shipping. Maybe when I start to stock larger items in the future that require parcel post etc. I might change that but for now my policy is free shipping.

      I apologise for the confusion.

When the site wasn't working, any particular error message? or just that it couldn't be found?

      Again, thanks for the feedback

I neglected to put in that it's free shipping in the post, I will update that now.

I meant that your WEBSITE doesn't mention shipping costs. Nowhere. At all. (that I could find)

Since it's an important part of your marketing strategy, I think that you need to state it clearly on EVERY product page.

It's not even mentioned in your Checkout. You should have freight there, and then have zero value. I even clicked into Paypal to see if it showed, because I was worried it might be a hidden charge!

When the site wasn't working, any particular error message? or just that it couldn't be found?

Couldn't be found, and I tried a few browsers. You can check with the hosts, they will know when it crashed (it was sometime between 8:00 and 8:10pm but I don't know how long)

        • yeah, thanks for that, good point, I will sort something out soon with the whole free shipping thing, just a banner at the top or something. It'll take a few days cause basically I suck at anything web related.

I got an email saying that I had used almost all my bandwidth for the website this morning but thought I would have had plenty left over. I have also messaged the designer (who's hosting my site as it's easier for him to make changes, before you ozBargainers get after me, it was my choice to pay a bit extra for the convenience) as any hosting should be unlimited or significantly more bandwidth than it said that I have.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the feedback, it's a simple website but I want to make it as good as my budget allows.

  • Any descent USB power supply with US or AU plug that can deliver 2A+?

    • The problem with any kind of power supply that plugs into the wall is that they are too thick to send out by anything less than parcel post which means they cost $6.95 to send (or maybe a bit less but with the packaging and whatnot it's close enough) and with the price I can get them in for and the price others are selling them for it would be a very marginal item for me to sell. Maybe 5% or less margin and unfortunately, although I sell items with low margin that's just a bit too low.

I would definitely try eBay or Meritline or something cause as of now I just can't do them profitably. Sorry about that.

The other problem is that it's illegal to sell products with a mains plug that aren't C-Tick certified AND have the mandatory safety approvals (Certificate of Approval) and also have MEPS registration with the E3 database.

So, it's not wise to be bringing in randonm stiff like that from China if you are trying to be in business… one or two reports to the regulators and your business (and probably your house) will be gone.

        • And that, that's the reason I don't do it, certainly not the profit thing :-)

Thanks for that llama, I wasn't even aware, now I am.

      • @brentsbits
        @llama

        Thanks for the detail explanation.
Guess I'll be going with that plan B then.

  • Bugger, go looking for one thing, come out with multiple of lots of things…

    • that's why it's multiple madness!!

  • Thanks for shopping with me folks, I'll be posting another deal in a few days
