For any anime fans, this anime is amazingly good and will entertain you to the very end of the series.

Gotta agree here. Arguably the best anime series ever.

  • I'm now in love with hxh now…but this is definitely a good anime to watch

I wish it was bluray :(

  • Very good deal for a top anime.

Amazing show. If only it were bluray!

  • By far the best anime IMHO.

The animation is superb, aside from "little" experiment that left me trauma for a while. The fight choreography is one of the best.

If only every anime was fill with sustain and emotion like this, not typical generic visual, loli & moe bs that plague the market. I'm not be able to find similar quality production in the genre like this ever seen.

By the same artist, but not actiony, I recommend The comedy slice of life Silver Spoon manga, haven't seen the anime yet.

    • Wath Full Metal Panic that is also one of the best in story line, character etc.. In fact, plenty of anime is good - Naruto first season is the best the rest is rubbish. Code Geass is also really good.

Note that the first 15 episode or so is very much skip through since this has been covered by FMA original series. You need to watch FMA original to understand first 15 episode. hell both series are really good in its own accord. both story line is good and it start to branch after episode 15 i think

This looks amazing on Blu-ray. Still for what it's worth, its an awesome anime.

  • Is it dubbed with awful American voice actors or does it have the Japanese language soundtrack and subtitles?

    It's bunk if it's dubbed.

Should have both (dubs and subs). I'd hold out for Blu-Ray though.

  • This show is a fairly modern release and was produced in 1080p, it is a disservice to watch it in 480p DVD quality as the art and animation are amazing. You are best off waiting for a sale on the blu ray release or spending the extra cash as it is definitely worth it (one of the best series I've ever watched)

    • This series was actually animated at 540p, so the Blu-Rays are an upscale. The Blu-Rays offer lossless audio, and better compression compared to DVD, but there won't be much difference in the amount of detail in the video quality.

  • I believe this dvd release suffers from frame blending like most PAL anime DVDs out there.

Great series though! However I would avoid this DVD release and get the Blu-Ray version instead which avoids these conversion issues.

  • Did this series complete the plot as per the manga?

    • Yes. 100% no Fillers :)
