Ah, but how do you pack it?

    • +6

This question is going to come up everytime a desktop deal comes up on Ozbargain…

We use foam to absorb any accidental kicks to the parcel. ~joke

      • But what if the user drops it after they've taken it out of the parcel??

        • +1

Then he/she will need to create an OzB thread.

Good prices I reckon, but the i3-3225 would have been better as it has the HD4000 graphics. It's usually only a few $ more.

    • Yes, but if you want to game on this machine at all, a proper GPU is only a few dollars more, too.

A $60 HD 6670 will run circles around an Intel HD4000.

A $215 HD 7870 will play most new games at max (or sometimes just very high) settings in 1080p.

620w PSU? Seems odd for that system. I'd offer a G1610 option too, i3 is overkill for basic tasks.

  • Very impressive for a home user, especially if they need an OS. Definite + from me.

  • Sounds pretty good. Rep, can you tell us the make & model of the motherboard?

    • We are using Gigabyte and ASUS boards. Stock levels vary.

  • Delivery fees per parcel:
    +$9 VIC (1-2 Business Days)
    +$19 TAS/SA/NSW (2-4 Business Days)
    +$29 QLD (3-7 Business Days)
    +$39 WA/NT (5-10 Business Days)

…so do you deliver to the ACT?

  • How will this system hold up with games like guildwars 2, dota 2 etc? Thanks

    • It has no real GPU (video card).

Put a GPU in it, starting with, say, a $65 HD 6670 for decent performance on medium settings or spend more for better.

Be sure that the graphics card is a low profile card. We are using a ultra-slim case for this PC.

A rep that knows about overheating issues! Don't get that from other certain stores which may or may not have been involved in a lengthy discussion yesterday. (comment based on personal experience)

        • +1

          more the size than heating

        • +1

Yeah bit of both really. slim small cases usually suffer from poor ventilation. You can get some pretty high end graphics cards that would fit.. they've gotten smaller over the past couple of generations.

        • Would this one fit?

Low Profile AFOX HD 7850 $199

Great to see a no OS option. WELL DONE!!

  • I may have missed it, but when we are paying via direct deposit what do we use as the transaction reference/ID?

    • You would have received an email from us confirming your order. Use the order code # please.

      • No, I didn't get an email confirming my order. It was the first place I checked. However, I did get an order code on the screen after purchase so I'll use that - Thanks!

        • Yes use that. Thanks
