How about unlocking an IMEI locked iPhone 4?
Basically, my dad lost it a while ago, called up Optus to IMEI lock it and got sent a replacement. He recently found it wedged between his bed's headboard and the bedframe.
I want to unlock it to use as a backup phone but he won't call Optus to unlock it since he's scared he'll get charged for the replacement
The OP is offering SIM unlock which is not related to IMEI blocks. You cannot get an IMEI blocked phone 'unlocked' by some random retailer.
Just use it as an iPod touch or something…
Take out the Optus sim and call Apple to unlock it. Then any other sim should work on it.
