  • Don't know if it's bargain worthy but I know my wife has wanted to do one of these on a nice clear night for a long time and there fairly cheap.

She'll be waiting a while longer if she wants to do it in Australia: http://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2011L00227

      • Damn thanks for letting me know, at least it's only $2.25 down the drain but that's far better than copping a fine.

        Cheers.

      • saw people releasing 10 or so of these at the sea side at Margate Qld a few months ago. very pretty. I like how they get up to 3000 ft.

whats going on??? trying to buy micro -sd cards from this site- refusing shipping to australia…how rude!

    • You must be looking at an item that's located in the U.S Warehouse, if its located in the U.S Warehouse they don't ship outside of the U.S everything in Hong Kong ships world wide just don't expect it too quickly.

It should not be a reason to neg this deal.

Just be aware those LED lights on your tyres are illegal to use, bike tyres would be okay I assume.

    • where do you find the information that spoke and valve lights are illegal?

  • I actually bought these flyers last time (dunno why). The quality's appalling, wouldn't expect it to stay in one piece for more than 2 rotations.

  • +1 for Digital Probe Thermometer with LCD Display $2.46. Good reviews.

  • oh i heard its illegal to have those leds on your tyre.

    Not sure about bikes though

    • hence my post derp

The car charger for micro USB phones at $3.70 is decent value too, although as with all cheap off brand stuff it carries a risk of damaging the equipment.

  • Why everything is banned in Australia? I wonder what is next to get banned.

    • people posting silly comments I hope

  • Expired already?

  • yeah the tyre led's are illegal in Australia

    • Is that for cars only, or bicycles as well?

      • I would work on the assumption that since this is on the exterior of the car and illegal it would be illegal to all road going vehicles. So if there going on a bmx (they will break) it would be legal, or a trail bike (again they will break) they would be legal but if you wanted to share the road with a car then you should have to follow the same rules as a car eg. no flashing or fixed red or blue lights and no tire lights.

        • "no flashing or fixed red or blue lights"

this cannot be, else rear lights would be illegal on a bike, when the law says they are required, and was changed a couple of years ago to allow flashing red lights at the rear.

Having said that, there are no legal motorbike helmets in Oz outside NSW and QLD, so this could be possible.

          So what do I know?

        • I do appolagize, tail and stop lights are the exception. But anything that could potentially be deemed as immitating an Emergancy vehicle is illegal meaning solid or flashing blue and red lights other than the exception of tail and stop lights.

Yeah, that's why pegging cardboard to your tyres is illegal.

Red or blue lights on a bicycle are easily confused for an emergency vehicle, and pegged cardboard is easily confused for machine gun fire. So be wary.

        • It's one of those things where common sense (or not so common in some cases) should come in to play. If it's kids messing about in a park that's one thing, if you attach blue lights to your bike along with a red tail light and your riding on the road in the CBD then you deserve to get done for it.

        • I apologise for my attempt at levity. Won't happen again.

  • The lights that attach to you valves, don't get them if you have Presta ie non car type valves. You need an adapter, which is usually not supplied, and also, the adapter is too long, so trying to take the light off your valve to check tyre pressures usually means removing the valve itself, and a very flat tyre.

…. here speaks the voice of experience.

Oh yeah the batteries last only a very short time as well.

  • I just tried to buy one of the items by Paypal which is linked to my bank account (not credit card) and i got a message saying I had insufficient funds or whatever and it asked me to add a credit card. The account has more than enough money.

What is the deal with that?

I bought three things by Paypal recently some on Meritline and all went well.

    Thanks

    • give me your paypal logon and password and I'll check it out for you.
