  • Easy to root?

      All it takes is a nice meal at a restaurant and she'll be willing to do anything.

        Doh! LOL, smart arse. Never mind, I have just googled. I have an ipad for my son and I hate it. Can't stand the iOS. So looking for a "cheap" 10.1 android tab that's sort of easy to root :o)

        • she's cheap too, the best kind ;)

    • second root is usually easier than the first root

  • no stock, guy mentioned that this is being recalled to head-office… not a bad price but can't find stock anywhere..

  • I saw this when i posted the ACER A510 deal.

    I enquired about it to find out since if it was the TF300 I would have jumped on the deal

    I know when i was at EB Campbelltown. The sales rep said he had a few of these i stock there.

    Might pay to call if you want to get this one

  • No stock in Adelaide.

  • cheaper and better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 from OW which is $277.

    Is it worth the price paying for a tablet with severely affected WiFi and almost non existence GPS because of the whole aluminum body?

  • had some on the weekend at EB at Erina (nsw)

  • None in Melbourne CBD, Prahran, Chadstone.

    They think there may be some in Knox but did not call through.

  • I have one. My feedback:
    - Practically no GPS, needed it this weekend as was using it via bluetooth to save my S3's battery (screen use), but Google Maps couldn't find itself;
    - Wifi is bad but it works in a house environment;
    - Still on Android 4.1.1, ASUS has updated the other cousins TF300 & TF700 but have left the TF201 behind, which is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. I rooted it but didn't save the "glob" files, mistake happened, lost boot, tried all for 2 weeks, had to send to ASUS, they tried to charge me $250 and after complaints, they dropped to $150, TERRIBLE SERVICE, 1 MONTH TO "RECEIVE IT", asked for power cord but forgot to send it back…

    I should have considered the ASUS feedbacks before buying it.

  • The missus has one and it's extremely laggy, especially bringing up the keyboard. My Touchpad running Android is much faster.

  • Are you sure it includes the dock? Website doesn't state that includes it other than:

    Optional Docking station with Full QWERTY keyboard adds additional 6 hours of battery life, to instantly turn the Eee Pad Transformer Prime into PC mode with up to 18 hours of battery life.

    • officeworks is selling it for $369 with dock so i think this would come with the dock too

    • It include dock, i bought one from burwood last weekend

    In Coffs Harbour, NSW there's plenty of stock ;o)

  • i work for asus and i would not recommend this to anyone its absolute crap bought one myself a few months ago and its not that great

  • I went to EB Games in town and he said that EB Games has ordered all shops to send back tablet stock this week as they will no longer be selling tablets anymore. I never asked if that meant that will also stop selling (refurbished) ipads and iphones………

    • thats the most stupidest thing ive heard. if ebgames were to stop selling tablet at least sell off all their stock first. sending all stock back to the warehouse to collect dust? sounds to me that sale staff wanted it for himself

      • Well not necessarily.

        Head office might want to sell them all off online in one go rather than having one or two tablets per store scattered around Australia.

  • Contacted EB … this price does NOT include the keyboard.
