  • Well SA/NT have a different program, so def not valid there.

    • It possibly isn't valid elsewhere but I think I remember someone posting (on a previous deal) that its valid in TAS.

      $10 off a Sera Nevada 6 pack

Do they sell Torpedo ? Yum !!!

  • Awesome. A slab of my favourite beer coopers pale ale down to $35! Thanks OP.

  • When I go to the site, all I get is this

"We’re just restocking the fridge! Please come back on Wednesday for your Hump Day My Offers."

Comes up on home page for TAS postcode :)

    • 2 Humps in Tassie…

  • The website crashed horribly on Wednesday afternoon last time they did this, two weeks ago. It will vary between outlets how they will handle the situation if you can't provide them with a valid redemption. Though if you redeem the offer on the computer as opposed to your phone, the voucher last for 8 hours. Might save you a few headaches if you print it out early, then trying to access the website in the drive through on the Wednesday afternoon.

Love how cigarettes are considered SO bad that they don't qualify for this promotion, but spirits…get on it Australia!

    • Well Cigarettes are arguably worse. And there may even be laws against heavily discounting ciggies.

      • +3

No one's ever started a barfight after getting aggro on a pack of smokes. Smoking doesn't make you a bad driver. Smoking doesn't make you beat your wife/kids.

        • +5

Smoking does give you and the people around you that breathe in your smoke cancer though…

        • +3

          This conversation will go nowhere.

        • +3

I have never got aggro, driven drunk or beat the wife and kids after having a drink.

The average person that drinks is not addicted to drinking, the average smoker IS addicted to smoking.

Drinking in moderation is fine, just like the occasional junk food is fine. Smoking at all is bad for you.

        • +1

Smoking doesn't make you beat your wife/kids

Neither does drinking. Alcohol doesn't make someone violent; it may lower inhibitions but the person still needs to have violent tendencies to begin with.

        • +2

Smoking doesn't make you a bad driver. Smoking doesn't make you beat your wife/kids.

Drinking doesn't give those around you liver damage

      • +2

I would agree that there is probably legislation against running promotions on smokes

        • -1

I believe that's the case, but why has the government/health authorities cracked down on smoking, but barely touched drinking? - Let's see some liver cirrhosis, brain haemorrhaging and Pancreatitis photos on every bottle, hey?

        • The main reason is because the primary effects of alcohol are visible whilst consuming. When was the last time you saw someone look visibly ill from 'smoking too much'?

    • -2

      Enter the double standard brigade.

Hey guys, I don't mind people drinking. I just find it funny that those who do, who are against smoking are deluding themselves to their addiction. Just because it might not be a daily occurrence doesn't make it not an addiction, nor does it make it less harmful.

How many of you could honestly say it wouldn't be a problem if you stopped drinking full-stop (never again)?

Okay, if you say that, then why don't you do it?

      • +1

        What?
"Just because it might not be a daily occurrence doesn't make it not an addiction, nor does it make it less harmful."
So if i have a drink once every week or 2 you think i am addicted? I think you may need to check the definition of an addiction.

Not less harmfull? Occasional drinking is as halmfull as a pack a day smoker? Yeah right.

How many of you could honestly say it wouldn't be a problem if you stopped drinking full-stop (never again)?
It wouldn't be a problem at all.

Okay, if you say that, then why don't you do it?
Because I like the occasional drink. It is like saying "if you could go without chocolate for the rest of your life then why dont you?"

        • -2

          Who's talking about a pack-a-day smoker?

Do you see the biased logic of "I can give up quite easily as I'm not addicted. Why should I give up? I like it!"

Chocolate has been proven to release endorphins in the form of serotonin when consumed. So yes, chocolate is addictive. You compare one addictive substance to another and expect that to dispel the fact that alcohol is addictive?

        • Do you understand the word addiction? It would appear not.

The fact you CAN be addicted to something does not mean that you are like you assert. If you were drinking every day then you may well be addicted to it. Most people are not. I for one have never craved alcohol, i like the occasional drink but if I haven't had any in a month no big deal. Just like any other food or drink, an addiction is an addiction.

Is someone that eats chocolate once or twice a month addicted to it? It is a stupid question. Should they have to give it up for life just to satisfy your idea of people being addicted? No way.

A small percentage of people that drink are alcoholics (addicted to it).
A small percentage of smokers are NOT addicted to smoking.

"Do you see the biased logic of "I can give up quite easily as I'm not addicted. Why should I give up? I like it!"

Are are making big assumptions about people here. If someone that drinks occasionally can go a week without drinking and not have cravings for it obviously they are not addicted to it. This is most people.

        • +2

          So yes, chocolate is addictive

          I have a pack-a-day chocolate habit

      • +1

Wow, what a load of crap.
Clearly I offended a smoker or two.

You cannot seriously try to suggest that someone who has a beer once a fortnight or so is addicted, I do plenty of things more than that just cause I like it.

        • -3

It's harmful for your body…so why would you do it?
          Answer given: You like it.

You like it and you claim you don't want to stop. I make the logical leap that you are addicted and can't give up the grog, rather than just "don't want to".

Drinker's logic astounds me how clueless they are. Smokers are aware of the health implications in addiction to smoking…it doesn't appear that drinkers are aware of their health risks which is scary…

        • +1

Quite a large logical leap there mate.
Keep your preaching to yourself anyway. No one cares.

        • Obviously you have some anti alcohol bias going here. Who else would say anyone that drinks is in denial about their addiction?

There are plenty of studies out there that show occasional alcohol consumption is fine. Some studies even show a benefit.

Almost anything in excess is harmful. The occasional drink isn't.

        • -2

Don't care if people drink, have an issue with hypocrites.

          Okay, take a step back.

Let me argue what you are arguing about smoking.

Obviously you have some anti-tobacco bias going here[…]

There are plenty of studies out there that show occasional tobacco consumption is fine. Some studies even show a benefit.

Almost anything in excess is harmful. The occasional cigarette isn't.

You know that feeling you get when you read that, something to the tune of "What a f***ing moron"? That's what I feel about your statement.

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT THINK SMOKING IS A GOOD HABIT, IF YOU TRY AND ARGUE THAT CASE YOU HAVE GONE FULL RETARD I just came across this article…

          http://www.livescience.com/15115-5-health-benefits-smoking-d…

Anyway, I'm kind of over this. Enjoy your blissful ignorance!

        • -2

A logical leap is…logical…you just told me I was correct in what I said.

        • +1

You outright declared people that drink are addicted, that is what I had a problem with. The occasional cigarette IS harmful and it is pretty rare for people to only have the occasional smoke. Everyone I know that smokes IS addicted. Your analogy is silly.

You have now declared people that drink are addicts and hypocrites. Judgemental much?

Once you get off your high horse you may realise having a glass of wine with dinner every so often isn't going to hurt you nor does it make you an addict. Can you understand this simple point? Do you need to look up addiction in the dictionary?

        • +1

A logical leap is…logical…you just told me I was correct in what I said.

""A logical leap is a moment where there is a significant gap in the argument. it's most often pejorative.

Me: Turtles are green, so all animals are green.
Gary: Wo there partner, that's quite the logical leap.""

Andy-laa: Alcoholics drink, so people that drink must be addicted to alcohol.
theguyrules: Quite a large logical leap there mate.

          Get it?

        • +2

It's harmful for your body…so why would you do it?

Actually there are numerous studies that show that having a drink in moderation is good for your health. Whether you agree with this or not, one thing is for certain…there has never been a study to show that smoking in moderation may be good for your health.

Also if people want to jeopardise their health by drinking that's their choice. The difference with smoking is you're not just jeopardising your own health but those around you.

I believe it may be 1 hour on your phone and 10 hours if you print the voucher on your computer. Note 100% sure though.

        • This is correct (it used to be 2 hours on the phone from memory)

  • Mine's expired, see below:

Tap the product name to view My Offer details, or click redeem. Once the redeem button has been clicked the My Offer will be active and you will need to redeem the offer immediately.

    • Mine's expired,

      After how long?

I printed mine and it says it expires at 7pm tonight…

  • 1 hour. I didn't print it, as I did it thru my phone

  • Anyone know if a 6 pack of Guinness Draught is over $20?

    • Just short of a 20 buck note i'd reckon

  • I didn't print my voucher when I had the chance and now it's gone. anyone know how to get it back? When I go back to the my offers section, it tells me I have 9 hours 45 minutes left to use my voucher but I cant seem to find it to print it. Can't access it on my phone either.

  • Do they check your phone number at the store?

    • They better not ;-), or i'll be walking out empty handed

    • I showed the page on my phone, but attendant required the number which was keyed into his register then and wrote it down - quite a few numbers were noted

  • Anyone successfully redeemed this in QLD yet?
I'm not seeing the deal anywhere on the website, but could just be missing it.

    • I had the same issue when I tried earlier too. Looks like QLD isn't included.

    • cannot see it anywhere either.

      • WA is the same, not working here - "We’re just restocking the fridge! Please come back on Wednesday for your Hump Day My Offers."

  • Got one, thanks! Got a bottle of American Honey for 34.90 - Boozle state that Thirsty Camel have it on special for 39.95 til 18 Aug, but was 44.90 when I went in there. I didn't enquire about that; far from the first time boozle has been incorrect. Oh well - still cheapest I've gotten it in a cpl of years! EDIT: Just checked Thirsty Camel website and it does specifically list American Honey as on special for 39.95. Does it not apply to all stores, or should I go back and ask for my 4.95 back? hah. Kinda sucks..

    • +3

      Better call Saul.

      • monday night ;)

    • You in a regional area?

      • Nope, Melbourne (St Kilda)

  • Sweet, just picked up a 6 of little creatures pale ale for $10 - bi - winning!

  • He shoots, he scores (ie. I got it)

  • Got myself a bottle of turkey with a free American Honey & cola premix stubby for $29.95 :) Also got my "mum" the same.

  • My local one didn't stock Sierra Nevada. Hardly any craft beers at all.

Ended up getting a 6 pack for Kooinda American Pale Ale for around $13…

    So can't really complain…

    • +2

      But you did anyway!

  • I was quite disappointed with their range at my local, but also their discounted prices where only a few dollars cheaper than Dan's.

Yes they were cheaper and it was a bargain, but the range was a little poor.

I ended up picking up a slab of Coopers for $35, that was cheap for sure!
