  • how do you preorder on MSY site?

    • Pretty sure you email the store.

    • Order it from their online store (use the link OP provided). Their online store just reserves it, and you usually get an email when it's ready, you still have to go into the store to pay for it.

    • Hi Shadow,

Pre-order: You can actually come to store and pick it up or order online with special price today.

WD Elements 1TB portable drive is $67.00 at officeworks.

    • I tried to get my hands on stock for this at OW a couple of weeks ago. Had no luck anywhere around Sydney. If there were any stock left back then, it would definitely be gone now.

    • Seen this ages ago but they haven't had any stock in multiple stores that I tried.

    • yer, but the dollar has dropped since then.

        Yeah but not by 23%.

Prices of locally distributed goods rarely fluctuate day to day with currency anyway. If the dollar goes up to $2 USD, everything sold locally isn't going to be half the price it is now for instance.

Compared to that $46 deal it just isn't as good.

    • That's when I grabbed them. Thanks for mentioning.

Cheapest 750gb that I can find right now so +1

  • Looks like the Gold Coast Store is no more :(

    • 1tb model is so i would say good chance of it…

I am looking to replace the laptop hard drive

    • might want to ask that on the forums champ. derp

  • Don't think of using these internally. I opened my 2tb a while back and WD is smart to this, get a Toshiba or Seagate if planning on upgrading ur laptop drive.

  • Just preordered it a moment ago, thanks :)
