    • I bought all the games for $4.70 USD. But it looks like the average price is gradually creeping up.

  • Thanks op. Great Deal!!!

  • +4

    I don't know how i missed this bundle…

    • You didn't miss it! It's still on!

      • +5

I think he means: "Noooo, I thought I was the only person allowed to post Humble Bundle deals :("

    • +1

You missed posting it because you were probably too busy complaining about how you missed posting the last one -.-

  • +1

The webpage at https://www.origin.com/en-au/store/ is currently unavailable. It may be overloaded or down for maintenance.

    lol'd

  • +2

Shame the charities are all American for Americans only. I would have like to see at least one that benefits the world considering Origin sells worldwide.

    • +2

What about Watsi? Human Rights Campaign is more debatable.

      • +1

Yeah. Nothing wrong with gay rights, but calling a gay-rights only charity "Human Rights Campaign" seems a tad misleading. Makes you think they are helping suffering people in the third world.

I gave it all to Watsi, in the end, but I wish they had Heifer International or a decent water aid charity.

Can't really complain, of course, props to EA for giving it to any charity.

        • +4

Yeah, that's the biggest criticism I've always had with Humble Bundles. It's great giving money to charity, but it's always felt like there are more deserving charities that could have benefited more. I.e., how can you compare providing clean water to people who don't have it, to helping kids in US hospitals play video games (Child's Play - one of their usual charities).

        • There is nothing stopping you giving money to whatever charity you wish…

        • Yes, but I'm not in control of millions of dollars being donated. I don't see any problem in wishing that Humble had directed the charity money to more worthwhile charities.

      • Fair enough, I'm guilty of not having read about it until the end and assumed they helped Americans only - especially given their poor public health system. Thanks for pointing it out.

  • +1

    Awesomesauce.
Some of these i already have but why not since some great titles in there and for Charity

    Great deal!

  • I have so many games I don't play already. I'll just add these to the collection. :)

  • +8

These low cost PC games are pretty much guaranteeing that I no longer purchase any PS3 games, or certainly not unless they're under $20, and even then i'll be reluctant. Guaranteed I won't be buying a full price PS3 game, even if rated 10/10 by everyone under the sun.

And it's pretty much guaranteeing that it's going to be at least a couple of years before I succumb to the temptation of purchasing a PS4. Afterall, I now have an abundance of PS3 games, and abundance of free PSN+ games, and an abundance of PC games via Steam and Origin. I also have an abundance of Vita games at hand should I buy a Vita.

Apart from the satisfaction of having the latest and greatest games there isn't much point in buying a PS4.

    • +1

Such a good point, I feel the same way.

I wonder how much Steam etc will affect console in the long run..

      • .. probably not at all? Steams been around for years now. I know less PC gamers now then I did when steam came out. Most just never bothered upgrading their PC when the xbox 360 specs exceeded their rigs. A steam BOX however could be a game changer.

It happen every cycle - new console, cheaper than PC, looks as good as PC(if not better than aging ones), games play well on it and rarely crash. A few years go by, the console starts showing it's age, and people again look to the far superior rendering capabilities of a modern PC and give into temptation. Rinse and repeat.

Consoles are very user friendly, with the fragmentation of PC hardware, it can never compete with that. People who have no computer literacy would be pretty baffled if you told them they had to install the latest beta driver from nVidia to play <insert new title here>.

    • I agree, but even with the larger Steam collection I still play PS3 the most. The environment just feels better, when I play games on Steam I always feel like I'm playing alone. That is what still pulls me to purchasing a PS4, it just seems like it will be more social.

    • I hope many more are like you.

The more people support these deep discounts, the more likely it is that Sony/MS will bring similar discounts to their next gen online stores to compete.

      Best outcome for gamers.

    • +2

Agree. I've never bought any games costing more than $20. But again I play PS3 most because I love earning Trophies…..

  • +1

Very generous bundle. I happily shelled out much more than the average. I hope it encourages more bundles like this.

  • +1

    Wow

  • -1

Okay instead of give me a neg how about someone saying what they paid to get both lots of keys might be more helpful

    • +2

It states you need to pay $1 to get the keys (I'm guessing you only get the music if you pay less?).

      • Yep you only need $1 to get both sets of keys - $0.01-$0.99 you will only get music, or origin only keys maybe.

You can pay bare minimum for a bundle, then you can upgrade it within 30 days of the deal closing to get steam keys/BTA games etc still provided.

        Can't upgrade gifts though.

        • According to the purchase thing you don't even get Origin keys for less than $1. Personally I'd be spending $5+ on this even if I already owned BF3 & The Sims 3. It's easily worth at least $5.

    • +1

Average price paid by everyone.. which at my time of purchase was $4.70.

  • +1

Origin is now working now, all cd keys worked for me.

  • I was just about to fork out $20 for Dead Space 3, lucky i waited. Not getting anywhere with redeeming my codes with Origin, anyone else still having that problem?

  • Logged into Origin app, displays an error on the top:

Checkout & code redemption may be down. We're working hard on it.

    • It is working regardless of that message.

      • I was using the website but went back to the App, redeeming working now, thanks.

  • Awesome Thanks!

  • im conflicted, origin or steam?? not sure what key to use now. i want all my ea games in one place but steam is handy but having ea games on it is like cheating.

    • +1

It seems these days you can't have all your games in one place. There's EA games that you can't buy on Steam but only on Origin such as Battlefield 3 and Dead Space 3. But i'm using all available Steam games and the rest that are Origin only using that on Origin.

    • It's not cheating to have EA games on Steam, it simply means Valve negotiated a license with EA to have it on its console. EA can choose not to release a game on Steam, as it does with BF3, Dead Space 3, etc.

  • +1

    Nice post ^^_]//

  • +1

I see the Humble Origin Bundle has already raised 2 and a half million dollars and it hasn't even been a day yet. I don't think i've seen a humble bundle sell that quick before. It's like it's raising $1000 every 10 seconds. Still over 13 days to go.

  • Should have run a poll on average OzBargainer purchase vs. average purchase (currently at $4.72).

    • +6

I think the results would be pretty depressing.

      • I payed the average…..excuse to have the sims on my pc once again!

        • Same, it was too cheap not to! I already own BF3 and I cannot seeme playing The Sims (though, the sister might).

    • +1

$10, I owned all but two.

      • +2

Yes, but your also the most powerful man in the universe.

  • Already have most of those games just wondering whether I still need them.

  • +2

Lol double ordered because it didnt load, regret nothing :)

  • Looks like EA's marketing tactic is working. Just bought a cd key for Battlefield 3 Premium from http://www.cjs-cdkeys.com/products/Battlefield-3-Premium-CD-… for $25 to go a long with my cheap Battlefield 3 base game.

    • +1

I'd stay away from CJS-CDKEYS.COM after the debacle I had with them.

  • nice

  • I realise it's "personal use only" but what about the games I already own copies of? I don't need second copies of BF3 and Dead Space…

    • Keep em somewhere, and give them away to someone online or something later when the bundle is over and they're in short supply again. I think there are subreddits where you can get someone to do something silly and post a photo and award them the game.

    • +1

I'm just registering the games that i already have on main account onto my secondary Steam account so i don't have all my games into one basket and also have backup copies. In fact i actually have 3 Steam accounts for this very reason. So i can play the game from either account :)

It would be also good if you have multiple computers in the household where you can register the other copy onto another steam account so you can multiplayer with a brother, sister or dad etc.

    • Yes, that clause also calls into question the idea of giving away keys of games you already own. It seems very unlikely that they don't expect you to give away other keys though. They used to give just one key for all the games but started splitting them up just so that the keys could be split (although I noticed for the Deep Silver bundle they went back to single keys).

      • Basically you're buying the keys so you can probably gift some keys to friends if you like. Although you're probably not allowed to re-sell the keys though since it's for personal use only. Although there's always the dodgy sellers on ebay selling these keys at like $20 or whatever.

        • +1

I'm guessing you missed the big discussion on the first page about whether you're buying keys or buying a licence to the game. Besides, this clause says "for your personal use". Very different to if "your" isn't there.

        • +1

Yeah missed that and thanks just read it on the first page.

  • -1

So many sellers on Ebay try selling these games…not bad for a quick bucks….

    • +1

I don't think they're supposed to be selling those. I saw on page 1 that it's not to be sold.

      • +20

You must be new to ebay. Possibly also to the internet. And people.

        • +2

"Guide to acceptable behaviour on The Internet"

          Page 1 of 1: blank.

  • So so awesome.

    A couple of questions:

    1. I opened my link and I seem to only have a key for "Sims 3 Starter Pack Origin Key". Now does that mean it's a key only for the DLC or is it the full game + a DLC?

    2. Can I dl Origin on a Mac and claim the Sims 3 key? (or is it PC only key)

      1. It's the full game + DLC.
      2. I believe you claim the key once on Origin (doesn't matter where you claim it) and you'll have access to both the Windows and the Mac versions. I can't confirm that though…
  • Great deal, even though I have most of those games.

  • i've never bought anything off humble bundle, so is it $1 for all 6 games?!?!

    • +2

$1 for the first six, yes. If you pay above the average (which I think is around $4.75) then you get the last three also.

They send you an email with a link to the keys which can be redeemed on Origin (and some on Steam).

    • just a warning, once you've bought your first Humble Bundle, you'll be hooked :)

      • Before people will not think but now they have bundle almost every week people start to think first lol.

  • its a good price, snagge done myself.

though i managed to get bf2 premium edition off ebgames, for $24.95 (20% off storewide at the george street store thats closing down whilst they had their sale on?

  • Random Thing…
If I had a copy of BF3 on Origin, can I play it with friends who have it on Steam?

    Thanks

    • BF3 isn't on Steam to begin with. It's Origin only.

      • errp… my bad

I meant Burnout. Will that work and Origin/Steam games in general?

  • This is a damn incredible bundle!

  • +1

Less than a day later and the Humble Origin Bundle has already surpassed $3.0M with 13 days left to go and it might reach or surpass the $5.09M on its first day that the THQ Bundle got throughout its whole sale. Wow

  • Anyone still unable to download the Origin client or access the Origin help page?

Both time out for me… although the rest of their website seems ok.

  • -1

Well the code redemption features are down on Origin…way too much traffic!

    • Funny how the redemption feature in Steam is working just fine. Origin not so fine.

    • Origin said that when I logged in, however code redemption worked perfectly fine!

  • Hmm…should I go $1 or BTA…

    • Do you want BF3 and/or The Sims 3? That is the question…

  • 440 +ves so far… Out of curiosity, what's the record?

  • +2

OK, here are some keys I don't need / games I do not want.

Enjoy & say thank you at least. :D

    Mirror's Edge Origin Key
    HA7X-CN52-SUEU-WBA5-FN5R

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box Steam Key
    G9TLP-VG4F9-BYAI6

    Metro 2033 Steam Key
    E56YW-KVXA9-9F6ZG

    • I'll get the Metro,,thanks!!!!

    • Thanks! Took Mirror's Edge.

  • +1

I'll giveaway my Medal of Honor Steam key, PM me for it.

  • As this is a two week deal, are we expecting extra games to be added? I ordinarily would, but this is already such a kick ass bundle.

    • Expecting Dead Space 2 would be added later on.

And apparently it's confirmed now to be included later on.

  • +3

Already own it, so for anyone who wants:
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box Steam Key
    3T0N8-ABTQF-WBWWD

    • +3

The person who redeemed your code could of at least thanked you…

  • Best 5 buck I've spend on gaming. Thanks you very much OP

  • I just successfully redeemed Battlefield 3 on Origin so it seems the Origin redemption is currently working.

  • +1

Origin code redemption is currently down. Nice work OzBargainers, you've brought another service to its knees.

    • Strange as i said i just redeemed BF3 as well as the BF3 Premium cd key i bought from CJS CD Keys on Origin just a minute ago. There's a notice saying it may be down and they're working hard on it but it just worked for me. Downloading BF3 as i speak.

    • T'is something to be proud of. Yes?

  • .

    • non-dlc version. Pure vanilla version.
