There's people actually selling it on ebay. My goodness.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Battlefield-3-PC-Origin-Code-/330…

  • Yeah looks like the Origin cd key redemption is down. It was working slightly earlier for me. Must be going up and down like a yoyo.

  • is anybody else having problems with the sims 3 product key being too short?

  • My Sims 3 key is 16 digit code also.

  • Can you use the origin key and steam key on separate computer for the same game title? Just curious as the key is different.

    • yes, in fact some games allow you to get two origin keys.

      • Really which ones because i was only given one Origin key for each game?. This was on one order though.

      • Thanks. I have bought 3 sets ready to spoil nephews and nieces.

      • How do the games allow you to get two origin keys?.

        • +2

Register on Steam, right click on the game in your library and select 'View CD Key', put that CD key into Origin… it worked for burnout, not tried on others

      • +1

As far as I know, all of the Steam-redeemable games in this bundle will give you an Origin-redeemable key once the game is installed. I did this when I bought Dead Space on Steam, I checked the game up in the PC registry and found a key there, which I gave to a friend to redeem on Origin.

Futhermore, many of the older Origin games such as Mirror's Edge will work without the Origin client working. Once downloaded and installed through Origin, you can just launch the program, and even make a backup of the files for what is now effectively a DRM-free copy of the game.

        • +2

I really do love the altruistic nature of these game companies allowing people to buy 1 key that could possibly be abused so they can use their DRM software of choice. I just hope that the few don't ruin it for the many as with most things.

  • +1

    Bought now. Think later…

  • Unbelievable value, best HB yet.

  • Finally cannot resist and bought it wondering whether I will even download them lol …..

  • +2

Would anyone like any of these codes? I'll give them away for free but if you have something to trade, i wouldn't mind!

    Dead Space
    Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box
    Crysis 2 Maximum Edition
    Medal of Honor
    Mirror's Edge

I was given the humble bundle by a friend who accidentally bought two. But he kept Battlefield and the Sims, the only two i wanted, so i bought it myself.

    • Sent you a PM :)

  • +1

Some arsehole is selling some steam and origin keys on Gumtree!
Be ashamed! Money buying this bundle is for charity not for profit!

    http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/box-hill-south/video-games/st…

    • +5

They're also selling them on ebay. These are opportunist scum.

There's one on Ebay selling a BF3 key for $3.99 with $4.99 delivery even though it's email delivery so it doesn't cost them a cent for delivery. Ripping people off with that delivery charge.

      • +1

You have to think of time spent… turning on the computer… clicking the mail icon… finding the email address… I would go on but I'm already worn out.

  • Do you think they will run out of bundles before the sale is over?

    • They'll prob ask you to wait for a key? :S

      • +1

Yeah, they'll never run out of bundles, just temporarily run out of keys when you try to access them.

    • Given that EA themselves are behind it and can generate millions (if not billions) of valid keys? No.

  • Closing in on 1 million bundles sold and also nearly $5 million in donations! Still 12 1/2 days to go!

  • +9

Look guys, I have written something for the person reselling the games on gumtree. Here's what I said:

"ME:O C'mon Mate! You are reselling games that you have bought initially for personal use and the money you used to pay for it goes to charity. Why not post the link here on gumtree for the humble bundle then at least the money will go to charity instead in your pocket! Please be ashamed of what you are doing! "

    And he replied!

-Thnx for your concern, 1st of all you dont know nothing about me, what i do or whatever, before writing something personal you should be aware about modesty. Now i can can do whatever i want to do with my stuff. You are no one to judge me. 1st look into yourself what you did for people in your life. I take that you are brother of mother teresa or son of Dr. Younus. This still doesnt make you eligible to point finger on some one you do not know. Yes i am ashamed of my self that i donated money to save the people who are unfortunate, instead of playing blame game on gumtree.-

He's even proud of what he's been doing! Good on him!

    • +1

Better point out the terms and conditions, im sure that will stop him ;)

      • +1

nah,, I've said enough,, If he doesn't care, then let him suffer the consequences afterwards.

    • Who the **** is Dr Younus?

  • +1

For anyone having problems with Burnout Paradise on steam where it is crashing after the intro video(I didn't install it via Origin). Disable your webcam. I am guessing the problem is probably only on 64 systems that are using 64 bit webcam drivers but it causes the crash… I disabled mine in device manager (I don't use it anyway and it's a laptop so it came with it) and everything works.

  • I have no idea how these downloads work. Is it possible to download either the origin games or steam games onto my laptop hard drive, and then transfer it my computer with a graphics card?

    • +1

yes you can download then "backup" the game through origin/steam then transfer the backup to desktop. But you'll need to have origin/steam to open the backup.
      Goodluck

  • Hilariously you can activate the Steam CD-Keys on Origin as well, so technically you get three copies of Dead Space, Crysis 2, Burnout, Medal of Honor, and Mirror's Edge.

      Fixed.

    • +12

      It's $5. Buy the damn bundle :P

      • +2

Don't be too harsh he's probably 12 and has parents that are paranoid about internet transactions.

  • I have a question about this bundle, how do you redeem "The Sims 3 Date Night"

I found this on the EA website but I dont have a key for it, am I missing something?

    https://help.ea.com/article/how-do-i-redeem-the-humble-origi…

    <From EA site>
The Sims 3 Date Night is a content add-on pack through the Sims 3 community site. To redeem follow these steps:

Log in to the Sims 3 community website using your Origin email and password: www.thesims3.com/
Under the "My Page" menu section at the top of the page, scroll down to "My Account" and select the "Redeem A Code" option under the sub-menu.
    Click on "Redeem a Code"
Type in your provided "Sims 3 Date Night DLC Community Key" from your unique download page and click "Redeem".
Click on the link for your "Purchase History" which should be visible after typing in your code. You can also access it under "Store" > "My Store Account" > "Purchase History" from the top of the page.
Click on the "Download" link under the icon. This will open your Sims 3 launcher and begin downloading the content through the launcher.
Once finished downloading, click on the "Install" button below.
That's it! You will now have additional clothing and content added in to your Sims 3 game!

    <\From EA site>

    • Check your Humble Bundle page again - if you paid above average price you should see three keys (Sims 3, High End Loft Stuff, Late Night) and instructions for how to redeem. Scroll below that and you should see your Date Night key.

      • Hii Mate

Thanks for the reply, I do have all the 3 CD keys and have redeemed them successfully. There is this DLC "date night" that is mentioned on the help page of the EA site but its not on the humble bundle site.

This what I was trying to claim is this DLC which wasnt on the humble bundle website but was mentioned in the EA help site and was wondering if someone else tried to claim it.

        • Hmm how weird! I got my 'Sims 3 Date Night' key from Humble Bundle (so 3 game keys + a 4th one for the DLC) and redeemed it. Maybe they're still rolling them out..?

  • +3

The people who are selling these on Ebay and other auction sites should be ashamed. This is for charity and they are taking advantage. Shame on them.

    • +1

      Fair dinkum mate

    • Things are worth what people are willing to pay for them. It's simple economics.

  • Fantastic! Very happy with this!

  • I mainly use steam but I do like the origin interface

    • Interesting, the interface is one of the things I particularly hate about Origin. With Steam I can have the full list of games I own up but be able to tell which ones are installed and which aren't. I'd also prefer see the names of the games rather than box covers.

      • Agreed, the only redeeming feature in Origin was it's download manager which seems slightly better than Steam's.

        • +1

Origin also allow you to redeem keys via their website, which is something steam doesn't have.

  • Anyway to installed on a second hard disk like Steam?

    • No i don't believe there is.

      • Oh so I have to move some games on steam first.

    • +1

There is an option in Origin in regards to installation directory.

      • But by the look at the option page seems cannot select by individual games like steam.

      • Yeah that only moves the installation directory for every game on Origin. It isn't for individual games.

  • I'm having some issues redeeming steam keys. After thinking for a while it says it cannot connect to the steam server. I have no issues with net connection. Anyone else have similar issues or perhaps a fix?

  • -1

If anybody ends up not having any use for the BF3 key, I'd love to have it for my mates. Worth trying!

    • +1

I'd give you mine but I already activated it because of my requirement for completion/neatness.

    • +7

Or you could, I dunno, donate $5 to charity and get it for him as a gift…

  • Wish the stupid program would stop crashing an hour or so after I go to bed every night. Been trying to download Dead Space 3 since the bundle launched.

  • Semi related…spotted by Dingotech on WP:

"Introducing The Origin Great Game Guarantee

The new Origin Great Game Guarantee works like this: You may return EA full game downloads (PC or Mac) purchased on Origin for a full refund—within 24 hours after you first launch the game, within seven days from when you purchased it, or within the first seven days after the game's release date if you pre-ordered it (whichever of these conditions happens first).

The Origin Great Game Guarantee is effective as of today in 20 countries. Like the improved Origin Store, we are rolling out the program worldwide over the next few weeks, and everyone will be covered by the Origin Great Game Guarantee by the end of September"

    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2134909&p…

    • I think you have to buy it from inside Origin not activate a key.

  • I think this is excellent value

  • great bundle couldn't resist. now to upgrade my internet to download the games.

  • We have received too many purchase requests from you in a short period of time, so we have canceled your order (you will not be charged).

That was about 30 minutes. In the past I've bought several within a few minutes (for friends, family, secondary steam accounts, etc…) without any problems. I wish I knew how long their "short period" was…

    • I tried again and it seems 1 hour isn't the magical number either. I hope paypal doesn't flag all these rejected payments as suspicious.

  • +1

Have these keys as spare (either already bought the game before or I don't want it) I don't think its a good idea to give them out completely free so if u have ANY key or steam game as spare (i dont care what, or even if its a crap game) i'll be happy to trade. (mainly bought bundle for battlefield, crysis)

    Steam:
    Burnout
    Mirror's edge

    Origin:
    Dead space
    Burnout
    Crysis
    Medal of Honor
    Mirror's Edge

im not selling these for profit, im just giving them away to people who can't get the humble bundle for some reason and I need something in return incase people make alts and abuse this.

  • Ah .. I already have C&C :(

    But not Populous.

    • I just realized that I only have the original C&C Red Alert.

      • Same here collectors edition…..or special edition can't remember which….

  • jesus, thats good value

  • +1

Great I donated all my money for the bandwidth and development of this promotion :)

    .

    • I'm with you. I have most of these keys and bought in appreciation of the effort by origin. I've got both steam and origin, and despite the comments of some, I've never had an issue with the origin engine. Here, have a origin key for MoH someone…72T3-RZMU-CPYK-9BZ8-Y56K…and then donate and get the rest of the bundle…and give away your MoH key.

  • so we've been giving cnc: ra3 - uprising + populous now..

what about the other ones that were mentioned?

    Dead Space 2
    Bulletstorm
    Medal of Honor: Aiborne

    • May not be true.

    • All conjecture - they never promised any extra games, let alone that list.

  • Oh man… I purchased Dead Space 3 on PC for $60 US (+ shipping) not long ago. Still haven't unwrapped it.. :(

Now you're telling me $1 gets that and more?

    • Why would you paid $60 from US? Only $38 locally limited edition. How long ago?

      https://www.ebgames.com.au/pc-158010-Dead-Space-3-Limited-Ed…

      • Yeah strange that. It's as if he didn't shop around.

    • Yes that's exactly right $1 gets Dead Space 3 plus more but digital download on Origin but for $1 hey it's a bargain. $60 USD for Dead Space 3 what a ripoff it's even currently $39.99 AUD on the Origin store at the moment. Sounds like buyers remorse has set in. Oh well
