        Lol thanks

    • Sometimes you get what you pay for and if you want a UHF radio then buy an Aussie made GME!

+1 for the effort, and teaching me a new word …. "Fitment" (page 15).

Is the table tennis table worth it?

  • Anybody knows if the projector is any good?
    Thinking of getting one

I purchased a BenQ MS502 from Aldi about 1 year ago - specifications are fairly similar - however, this model seems to support a higher native resolution. Apart from that I cannot see any major differences.

As to whether it is "any good" or not… that all comes down to what you want/expect from it.

These are only my opinions - you can ask someone else and they may have different feedback
      Pros:
      Reasonably priced
despite the low viewing resolution it is still pretty good for presentations and watching movies/DVD's
because it has a component or RGB input you can actually hook up a set-top box and watch normal television from it.
A relatively small - standard size projector unit - It isn't massive so it doesn't take up that much space.

      Cons:
Issues that I have with it is that there is no HDMI and the native resolution is pretty poor - the lack of HDMI is a big one and it is disappointing to me to not see it being included by BenQ in this day and age… I don't think it would have set them back much to include that additional HDMI port - but I am not sure because it seems like all the inputs on the projector are restricted to analogue inputs - maybe it would have cost more to make it digitally compatible…

another comment is that this projectors are advertised as 3D ready - but that won't be the case until you spend an additional $200 on a kit that will actually allow you to watch anything in 3D - so by that stage you have paid $600 ($400 on the projector + $200 on a 3D kit) and at that price your better of just getting a projector which is already set up for 3D - of course that's if you are into the whole "3D thing" :)

  • No HDMI might be an issue.

    • I think it does actually.
I just found a review online. Can't find MX518F, but I managed to find MX518

I think I have found the appropriate manual for the MX518F

        http://www.projectorcentral.com/pdf/projector_manual_7453.pd…

If you look more closely on page 18 of the manual.
        The MS517/MX518/MW519 have HDMI

While ALDI is selling the BenQ MX518F according to their catalogue - which doesn't have HDMI according to the manual which show both the MS517F/MX518F do not have HDMI.

Buyer beware. As the manual may be a little misleading as to the inclusion of HDMI if you do not look closely. However, Aldi has advertised the unit correctly and they have not listed HDMI as an input - simply because it is not an input on the MX518F…

        • Thanks. Was wondering why I can't find the 'F' version on BenQ website.

  • how about the $169 tablet is it worth it? seems cheap with phone functions

  • Metal jerry can for $30 seem like a good buy

    • The jerrys are def cheap and nasty. Chinese, bad welds, leaky, and gloopy bits of paint INSIDE the can. Got one last time and it started rusting within two weeks! Turfed it in the hard rubbish collection.

Bunnings replaced their good metal ones with an almost identical can, but still charge $60!!!! So I made them beat the price by 10%- got two at $27 each lol I know they will rust, leak and contaminate the fuel, but its going into an old crap engine anyway.

Shame on you Bunnings for dropping the quality and likely your cost WAY down, but charging the same price. Beware!

  • Why don't you guys like the plastic jerries? I have bunch of the Willow (aust made) ones for carting E-Flex/E85 in and they seem pretty decent to me.
