It's in stock everywhere. It's listed on Lasoo as well (not sure if that means it's advertised?).

      • +1

yep, it says in stock online only for qld. i should order some for my smoke alarms. thanks!

      • +1

No stock instore at Coburg VIC

  • +2

Very good price. My smoke alarm only "officially" recommends this battery and one Energizer so will be good to stock up given they have a long shelf life.

    • Good price indeed. If the battery gives 9v/12v does it really matter the branch?

      • Guess not as people are climbing all over this deal…

These things have been exciting the taste buds for years now…

    • +1

I'm relieved I'm not the only one.

    • +3

apparently a couple of people die each year from doing that ..

      • +2

I think you would need underlying health issues to be killed by one of these batteries.
Ive been zapped by 1000V and been fine.

        • +5

It's the current that wants blood

        • +1

I cant imagine a 9V battery having a high current. Although apparently 15mA can be lethal.

  • +2

good find…. time to replace fire alarm batteries anyway!

  • +1

Excellent find, I've been waiting for some good but cheap 9vs

I picked up some this morning from Milton, Brisbane. Date on them was mid 2015. All 12 in a tiny box. Excellent price.

    • +2

      +1 for the OP then!!

      • +1

He picked them up even before this was posted.

        • +2

Must have thought it was a bargain then… He/she should let everyone know. But how?

        • someone doesn't seem to understand the difference between am and pm

    • +1

Hmm, so it expires mid 2015? That means they were made around 2010, so they've been sitting around for three years.

      Still, it's a great bargain at $1.50!

  • +1

cheers, need to top up my guitars' tuner/pickup.. couldn't pick a store to pick up from using firefox but worked in chrome

    • works in Firefox 4 me, so u may have to disable an add-on or something?

  • +1

I bought $2 in the $2-shop (no brand), so this deal is amazing.

  • +1

    thanks op!

  • bought ten, thanks

    • actually, bought the 10 online, didn't realise you can't collect till working day.
the lady said I could cancel the online purchase and buy instore, but the subiaco store didn't have any in stock anyway

      • turns out my 10 where on back order, I called up the office works head office and they said it was a discontinued product which I will never get. not happy. anyone else in the same boat?

        • finally received an email stating it was ready for collection.
          picked them up no problems.

  • r they loose? or with package

The usual good deal on 9V batteries is Varta brand at Bunnings.
Not quite this cheap, but way better than normal Duracell/Energizer.

  • None in stock at Carlton, Sydney branch :(

  • Great deal and a perfect timing for me.
Bought 20 so saved me heaps.
    Thanks OP.

    99c C Size batteries anyone?

  • +1

These and the Kodak brand of the same batteries are $2 as normal price, every day at Cheap as Chips, in case anyone wondering.

  • No stock in belconnen :-/

  • Good for smoke alarm

  • No stock in the Bondi Junction store in NSW. I'd suggest to order online for a store pick up if you are keen and live in the area.

  • Placed in my smoke alarm, it should last to 2023 if house fire doesn't consume it first.
BTW. Ok for click and collect locally.

  • Are these actually Coppertops or regular Duracells'? I've got some Coppertops and there's a silver band between the black and "copper" bits with the word "duralock".

    • i received duralock duracell batteries with my smoke alarms. apparently they have a long shelf life (10 years). besides that i don't know if they are any better than the coppertops.

  • I went to O/W Oxley and was told they don't carry the single one just 2in a pack which was nearly $8 so i bought online and they will be delivered to Oxley in two days for me to collect ah! life is getting complicated

  • +1

Needed these for my TENS machine.

  • C size also available for $1.00. Great price.

  • $3 Alkaline 9V batteries at IKEA, the regular price.

  • says online only now…

  • Bought 4 online ($6) and collected Saturday from local OW before they even had the order. Very helpful people. :-) Thanks OP and OW!!

  • useless guys,

    I just go my order

1.) It came in a plastic bag with the batteries in there like some backyard job (i.e no original packing)

2.) The 9V battery i have expire in 2015…so with only 18months life left. Not to mention they usually have a 10 year expiry and they discharge per year, 18months is almost useless.

    • Especially if yours has saliva all over the terminals :S

Great, I'm wondering if my 10 will arrive in a bag too. Will let you know.

    • I just picked up mine too. I bought 8 of them and they gave it to me in a small cardboard box that also contained the original battery packaging within. One full box contains 12 x 9V batteries in total. The Expiry Date for all of mine was March 2015, with a batch build date of August 2011.

For the price I got them for (ie. 8 batteries for $12) I can't really complain. :)

    • Got mine today too, exp. March 2015 as well.
I've ordered 20 batteries & couple of magazine holders.
They came in huge box, about 3 times too big.
All batteries were scattered on the bottom of the box, some even had few dints in them.
Good price, fast shipping, but pathetic packaging.

    • Yeah my four were in like a sandwich bag looking ziplock. Thought it'd be in proper packaging.

      • Is there something over the terminals to prevent the batteries from getting shorted?

        • Nup, just moving around in the plastic bag which came in a box. Thought it was pretty shady =/

        • sounds so dodge!

      • note to self: take a multimeter to test the voltages when i pick up mine

  • +1

I just picked mine up toda. My 12 batteries came in a Duracell box:
    http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/9075/18118/duracell-9v.…

    Expiry is Mar 2015.

  • My order of 24 batteries came through , in two Duracell boxes just this week expiry is Jan 2018.

    • Same here, in Duracell box with 2018 expiry.

      • Damn the both of you! Now I have to buy more 9V devices to use mine up before 2015. :)

  • I almost forgot about mine. Just got an email yesterday after one month saying its ready for collection.

So i showed up at the local OW, showed the email to the guy and mentioned I received an email to come pick up my package. I said "Hi, here is the email that says my package is ready to collect." the guy replied "But did you receive a call to ask you to come?" He then went to have a look anyway at the back and found my package. I'm like WTF was that about?

Then like some of the guys here the batteries came without packaging in a paper envelope. I have 9 x 9V batteries with the terminal exposed rattling around in a paper envelope, seriously??

    • Next time order in lots of 12. :)
